Toasted Almond recipe

Scale ingredients to servings
2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
2 oz light cream

Melon balls are easy to make and probably girly/sweet enough.

1/2/4 ratio of vodka/midori/pineapple juice. Serve with lots of ice. You won't taste the alcohol.

melon flavored liquor. Found everywhere unless you live in the middle of nowhere. Florida is sometimes the middle of nowhere but seeing as you're still in school it's found in any supermarket.

A very cheap but girly/sweet drink you could make is just mixing alize with the blue gatorade. Girls go batshit over that and it's not like you need to go buy a ton of different ingredients.

If you actually at a decent place, updscale bar, hotel bar, lounge, etc. go try a Manhattan. I maintain that this is, and always has been, a classic man's drink but at a lot of places with sub-par bartenders it's way too sweet and completely chick. When well made, this is a damn fine drink and one of my personal favorites.

The sweet vermouth cuts the harshness of the rye and gives the drink a nice sweet tang, and the bitters give a subtle complexity to the drink. The bitters, which is the ingredient a lot of crappy bartenders leave out to make it a sickly sweet drink, add some complexity. To avoid the "chick drink" treatment, request it in a highball or old-fashioned glass, over the rocks if you feel like it.

Serve on the rocks, can pour it into any decent sized glass (rocks glass preferred)
Pour Vodka in First.
Pour Kahlua in Second.
Top with Tonic Water (optional)
Serve with a straw, objective is to drink it all through the straw in one try. You get the Kahlua first (settles), then the Vodka, then the tonic water.
Used to down them like candy during pregames.

I totally agree with this suggestion, EXCEPT it should be in a cocktail glass, not a highball, or old-fashioned, and never on the rocks.

The reason - on the rocks will dilute it, highball/old-fashioned means your hand is touching it which means your body heat is heating the drink up. That's the reason a cocktail glass was invented, because when properly held (by the stem, not the part that holds the liquid) there is a minimal transfer of heat.


Contribution - I am normally morally opposed to overly sweet drinks, however since you don't know much about alcohol you will need an intro to alcohol. Here's a good starter.

1.5 oz banana malibu
3 oz pineapple
.5 oz grenadine
Mix, pour over ice.
