It's probably too much to speculate past Alves then Anderson for who will be fighting against gsp in the future, assuming he wins. For whatever reason I don't see an immediate rematch if gsp loses, he had to win twice just to fight Serra again so I think, at the least, Alves will get the next crack.

If BJ does win I don't think he will really care too much about defending the lightweight belt. It wouldn't surprise me if he just vacated that belt, apart from a kinda interesting fight against Florian no other lightweight seems to stack up against him and he would likely under train for any fights there.

Couple of things to note...

- Kim got robbed in that fight. He controlled where the fight went most of the time, ridiculous decision IMO. (Edit: Though I do think he lost the last round)

- Jones is a beast, and definitely someone to watch out for in the future. To take out Bonnar like that... He was amazing.

- Lyoto will be champ in 2009

- GSP absolutely dismantled BJ just like I thought he would :D

gsp is a dominating figure at 170...i honestly don't see anyone being able to compete with him last night, if he shows up for all his fights like that, he's damn near unstoppable. i would love to see him fight anderson silva...but they both probably have title defenses before that could be lined up.
