Of course what's wrong is wrong. His corner-man should be fired immediately in my opinion before something like this happens in an actual competitive match-up. My point is that the coverage this thing is getting is rather petty and trivial under the circumstances and outcome of the fight. It's really all some pathetic attempt to put an * over the victory to cater to the mass-media who wouldn't know any better.

thiago makes a monster cut...it's scary how much he cuts. anderson walks around at 220 and cuts to 185...so saying GSP is "above" 185 doesn't matter 'cause silva still is above him...almost everyone makes fairly big cuts to their weight classes nowadays, so anyone moving up is gonna have a harder time even if that is their "true" weight class. you got guys that are 6'4" with huge reaches sitting at 185...i honestly don't think GSP would win, but it'd be a great fight to hype up and watch.

And that's why Fedor being P4P shouldn't even be disputed since every other guy cuts massive amounts of weight while Fedor's a small heavy weight, smaller than a lot of LHW.

At this stage of the game you don't accidentally do that. Too many people calling him out on that makes it really suspicious.

Residual vaseline is just going to be put over his heart, his shoulders and directly behind his heart on his back which all get rubbed for blood flow and breathing purposes so the rest of his body should not be greasy. If you haven't read the explanation from Greg Jackson or GSP himself for what that back rubbing thing is for it will seem pretty suspicious but it makes sense when you hear it. I highly doubt it is intentional but there is still some small amount being applied to those places, which I don't think would have made any difference in his fights.

When Miller wrote his post about GSP greasing he didn't mention GSP or try to use it as an excuse. Sherk didn't either. And has Hughes, or Serra used that excuse with anyone else? Just too many fighters calling him out, and too many people witnessed it. Now the person who ratted them out, they may have a motive lol. Chuck Liddell probably got sick of losing to Greg's fighters.

I read Jackson's response and that makes me more suspicious, mostly his “If we were trying to grease the back we’d be greasing up and down, we would make it count.". When people are guilty they'll pull out if we cheated we'd do it this way and exaggerate to deflect from the truth.

Would the results of the fights have changed? Probably not but who knows. With BJJ it just takes one slip up to change the outcome of the fight.

Well BJ Penn was in guard the entire time, so I disagree with your statement. It's not like you can slip from guard to half/side due to a greased back.
