A woman has given birth to octuplets at a Kaiser Permanente hospital in Bellflower, hospital officials confirmed today.

Medical team was prepared for seven children, then came one more. Mother and babies are doing fine, doctors say.

A team of 46 doctors, nurses and surgical assistants at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center meticulously planned the births for weeks. As the date approached, they held two practice runs. They didn't want any surprises.

Not sure if it was said or not, but it was reported today (or yesterday) that she not only has 6 other children, but they are all living in a 3 bedroom house with the mothers parents. Her parents allegedly owned another home, but they filed for bankruptcy and walked away from the home or something to that degree. So now you have the 6 kids, the 8 newborn octuplets, the mother, and her parents all living in a 3 bedroom house.

The woman isn't a single mother though, she's actually married but her husband is in the army or something and is getting deployed back to Iraq soon. Also the mom is in her late twenties...with 14 kids. She'll probably get a lot of help from all of the press that she'll get from having these babies though, and hopefully be able to give her kids an okay life.
