Abortion comes into the mix because after the doctor implanted the 6 embryo's they found out that all 6 took and offered to remove 4 or 5 of them and she refused.

It makes me sick that this whole situation came about because of IVF and now she is asking for handouts from the government and people. She deserves no sympathy and I believe the kids should be removed from her possession and go to homes that can actually take care of them.

She was just OK with 6 kids, she will fail miserably and be a drain on society with 14. There should be laws about the use of IVF regarding how many kids you already have and your income and your ability to care for the kids.

How do you know she will be a drain on society? She does get disability pay for her Autistic child. There is also a good chance that the 8 babies will have disabilities. She also used her school loans to pay for her kids.

Isolated pockets in Central Appalachia have three times the national poverty rate, an epidemic of prescription drug abuse, the shortest life span in the nation, toothlessness, cancer and chronic depression.

It's been 41 years since Robert Kennedy called on the rest of America to reach out and help the people of Appalachia. These are the descendents of Davey Crockett, Daniel Boone, Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline and the families of legendary soldiers and pioneers who helped open up the treacherous mountain passes and create an American continent. They are fighters steeped in family, ferocity and faith.

Courtney, 12, is one of those children whose face reminds us of the famous portraits of the Appalachian past. Her clothes are stuffed in a suitcase under her bed in the small home she shares with 11 relatives in Inez, Ky. Her mother, Angel, struggles to stay off drugs and hopes to give her four daughters a better life by getting her GED and becoming a teacher. With no car and no public transportation, Angel walks 16 miles roundtrip, four hours total, to her GED class.

Another hero of the mountains is Dr. Edwin Smith of Barbourville, Ky. He used $150,000 of his own money to convert a truck into a mobile dental office. Dentists say Central Appalachia is first in the country for toothlessness. One of out 10 residents is completely without teeth and children as young as 2 already have as many as 12 cavities.

While having babies the natural way when you cannot afford them is irresponsible it is a much more different situation then going out of your way to get IVF from a doctor when you do not need any more damn kids. Also for the babies that are fed pepsi I believe those kids should be taken from their parents as well at least temporarily until their parents can get their stuff together.

Also she already is a drain on society by the fact that she as well as the hospital is asking tax payers to cover the bill for the birth of her 8 kids. Also she is asking for donations from people. Unless I am being wooshed here I do not understand how you could not see she is already being a drain on society.
