Gametrailers.com - Batman: Arkham Asylum - Silent Knight Challenge Mode Extended Cut
Its the same demo as before, but the whole 6 minutes, instead of just bits and pieces.
Man do i want this. Keeps looking more awesome
Ugh, so Bane is a brainless idiot?
You got that from the 10~ seconds he was on screen?
Looks like the Joker got to Bane while he was sitting around in Arkham (don't think Bane would belong in Arkham, but he needs to be there for the game, so whatever) and super-overdosed him with Venom. And considering too much Venom turns you into a roid-rage'd up idiot, (or at least it did that to Batman) yeah, that makes sense. Unless its just design choice, Bane generally isn't THAT huge, so I'm figuring he was given more Venom that usual.
That game play footage made it seem like MGS - Batman style. Looks fun, but if roof fixtures are readily available in the game, then I hope mobs know to scout the ceiling as well (instead of just doing so once you have been spotted)
This game looks sweet as hell, I can't wait until it comes out.
Did you ever play any of the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver series? Soul Reaver was probably one the best action platformers ever. The lack of good boss fights and puzzles in the later ones kinda sucked but overall that company has what it takes. If nothing else the game play will good but possibly a bit repetitive. I'm almost 90% positive the story and script will be awesome.
I'll admit, little disappointed with harley quinn. Was hoping for the costume from the animated series, since so many of that team is on board. Is it the same voice? Hard to tell.
Going to be a badass game though. Really can't wait to play.
gamestop has this demo on their ps3 interactives now

More gameplay. Holy crap, look at Bats go.
Looks cool, but easy.
Also I hope you can turn off the needless slow motion.
That vid^ is what is on Gamestop's demo machine, it is the game's challenge mode. It's a lot of fun, and I can't wait to play the full version, but
It was easy, and most of the attacks you see in that demo is just spamming X-- with a random Cape stun (X+Triangle). Also when you see the little anger sprites on someone's head you only have to press Triangle to counter, but that seems to break chains sometimes. Anyway, I was able to chain 12 or 13 hits, and I thought it was easy, but I got a Bat rating of 3/5. So there's probably something more to it, I duno.
However, once you master counter and get the flow of the fighting, it's easy to avoid taking damage. The only challenge in that demo is the guy with the red sprites is someone you can't counter--he's easy once you find out his weakness.
Still incredible for a Batman game. Oh, and the slow motion helps you with chains because it lets you know which group of enemies to attack next. The up close overdone slow motion is only done when it is the last bad guy in the room.
Hmmm, I think my anticipation for the game just plummeted. Maybe the stealth portions will be able to keep my attention. And there is the "detective" play I think they mentioned at some point.
EDIT: Also he does take shit load of shots on his first try. Probably just easy mode or something.
I want to have high hopes for this game as well but as experience has taught us, there is no such thing as a good Batman game.
Someone let me know when the game is actually out and if it gets good reviews. Until then I'll forget this thing exists because I refuse to believe someone as awesome as Batman be subjected to so much fail.
I haven't in a while since around the age of 15 or so I found that the comic universe kind of fell apart...both Marvel and DC... so I stayed far far away from them.
All I have now are my memories of the good stuff (the older stuff).
Edit: And as a side note BRP, if you have 360 and RE5, let me know. Perhaps we can play Mercs or Versus together.
