Hell yes! I can't believe he's actually coming to Minnesota, of all places. So fucking random (and lucky). I've always wanted to go to one of those Final Fantasy live concerts, but never thought he'd play here. I'm still stunned that he chose Minneapolis of all the cities he could have gone to in the U.S.

Uematsu himself will likely not be at any of those concerts, but that shouldn't dissuade anyone from going. The concert tours that company puts on are absolutely spectacular, and should not be missed.

I'd love to go to the Seattle one, but can't plan that far ahead right now.

If you can go, go. I had a chance to go to the Dear Friends tour in Chicago, and it is probably one of my most memorable events. Took the then-GF, it was utterly amazing; Nobuo himself was there, orchestration was amazing, the screens they had up and such were just awesome. Uematsu is one of the few musical artists I know by name and is probably my favorite; for anyone who feels the same, this is something you must go to, period.

As to Europe tours... the most recent CD release, Distant Worlds, was a Swedish orchestra and I thought there was a concert there they did to start it off.. they didn't tour elsewhere in the EU? -.-

I had the opportunity to see this last year in Chicago. We had seats that were in the second section, 6th row from the end. Not the best spot to see the stage, but close enough. After the first song, the conductor for the Chicago Pops, Arnie Roth, started to speak and all of a sudden the side door opened right to our left (6 rows away) and in walked Mr. Uematsu himself. I had chills . . . it was all I could do to restrain my son from getting up to shake his hand, lol.

This is a very good concert, well worth the money and the time. I can't wait to see this again in Grand Rapids, MI on the 14th.
