For those who are asking for screenshots, I can't provide one because we discovered the bug 1 day after it happened when the JP guy (Tokisada) woke up and saw a Black Tathlum in his inventory and sent me a /tell saying "Thank you".
Here is when I figured that we duped the drops by mistake. Also I can't provide SS of the GM conversation between Tokisada and the JP GM.

If he was a solo PT leader you had to dissolve alliance in order to kick him. I'm pretty sure this should plain out kill the lootpool in a normal area. Party leaders can drop from the alliance without killing treasure, but the alliance leader dissolving the alliance to get rid of one of the parties will break the pool.

Given that you admitted you did this so you didn't have to wait for the item to drop you already had the item pool at this time. So did you not know that the treasure should be lost when you dissolved, or did you know this and take the chance breaking alliance anyway for some odd reason? I certainly would wait 5 minutes than risk losing the entire pool by breaking the alliance.

- We were gathering for Sandworm (started with 5) and waiting for people to gather to attempt a possible Lambton Worm
- I was the tank PT leader and Tokisada was the BLM PT leader.
- Took us 45mins or more to make a 2 PT alliance ,then someone poped in LS and was asked to come as THF.
- So this leaves us with 2 full PTs and a solo THF out of the alliance, so one of the BLMs made a PT with the THF and joined the alliance. Then disbanded to join the BLM PT.
- During this time we realized that the BLM leader Tokisada was asleep so the THF grabbed all the BLMs and the alliance was (Tank PT 6/6 - BLM PT 6/6 - Solo BLM)
- I didn't kick him before or after Doomvoid because I was hoping he would wake up and speed up the kill.
- During our Guivre fight, I realized that when we get the drops we must wait for him to pass so we could get out of Ruhotz or wait 5mins to make the drops auto-sort to anyone who lots, so I kicked him "/alliancecmd kick Tokisada", then we ended up with 2 PTs and a solo leader PT out of the alliance but inside Ruhotz (that was during Guivre's 50-52% HP)
- Killed Guivre, got full drops and passed everything while someone lotted them, but nothing droped to the lotter even after everyone in the alliance had passed (because Tokisada could't pass being asleep) so the drops acted like Dynamis coins and AFs were everyone in the zone MUST pass inorder for the items to be collected by the lotter.
- After 5mins all items droped to the lotter (and a second same treasure droped to Tokisada without us knowing).
- Warped/Retraced.

1 Day after when Tokisada (the BLM solo leader) woke up he sent me a /tell "Thank you! Black Tathlum". I asked him to trade just to make sure he's not bullshitting me because he jokes around too much and he did show me his new Tathlum, granted he didn't have one before the kill because everything is documented in our website.

This is what happened exactly, that's why there aren't any screenshots to prove what happened because it was an accident and unintentionall reviving of a fucking stupid bug that banned most of the FFXI endgame community.

For clarification: when he says "nothing dropped to the lotter" he means that the items in the pool didn't drop as soon as the last person had passed, as would be expected. The lotter in question did receive the drops as normal after five minutes.

God damnit I fell down, I was wanting to say this damn me for not checking the forums this morning.

As someone said, I'm thinking they tried to make it like a Dynamis loot pool where it's there no matter if your in/out of PT. I wonder if they screwed it up in Dynamis as well. O.o
