SMW
Kirby Superstar Saga
Kingdom Hearts (series again but 2 was r0x0r)
Zelda OoT
MGS3
Continued to 25:
- Psychonauts
- Professor Layton
- Pokemon yellow (I spent so much god damn time on this...and never so much as looked at any future version of it. lol >.>)
- Shenmue
- Zork
- Katamari Damacy
- SMW
- All the rareware platformers, from the SNES DKs up through DK64 and the Banjo series (they all share equal footing and thus take up a single slot)
- Zelda: Wind Waker (say what you will, it was pretty looking and poetic and totally awesome)
- Splinter Cell (I have a hard time deciding between the first two, the 1st had a better story but the 2nd refined some crappy play elements)
- Metroid Fusion (few games have I played that made me go OSHITOSHITOSHIT like when the virus suit thing finds you)
- Paper Mario (I would say SMRPG, but I played Paper Mario first and haven't played enough of SMRPG to appreciate its story (if it even has one, nobody talks much about the details of the game just that its awesome), and the combat system had some serious flaws that were corrected in Paper Mario which is its clear successor in every way, so it annoyed me to take a step backwards, in essence)
- Rest of the metroid series gets a mention here for my inner fanboy, again no single game triumphs imo, they were all pretty awesome (even though prime2 had some bullshit it was a pretty good feeling when I finished it so it still makes it in)
- Einhander (best.shmup.ever.)
- Half-life series (but 1 in particular sticks with me always...the claw monster in the blast chamber and the first time I saw gman on the other side of an impassable barrier watching me, I was like OMGapseor8iuaper89h;asjkgns;adfkj;sdfkjsd;flj)
Derp.
Final Fantasy VIII
Pac Man: Championship Edition
Xenosaga
Super Mario World
Resident Evil (Remake)

Can't think of anything more. And I'd rather keep it small.
Yakuza(PS2)
Yakuza 2(PS2)
Shadow Of Rome(PS2)
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy X
Shining Force 1 & 2
Call of Duty 4
Dead Rising
Left 4 Dead
Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War
Resident Evil 4
Fallout 3
Mass Effect
Resident Evil 2
Jade Empire
Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
Hrm, if I had to make a top 5..
Chrono Trigger
A Link to the Past
Halo: CE
Mario Kart: Double Dash
BioShock
I really enjoy MegaMan X, X2, and X3, as well. All of these games I play through again at least every year or two.
1. Half-life series; Portal is included here, same universe blah blah blah.
2. MGS and MGS4.
3. FFVII, FFIX, and FFXII.
4. Wolfenstein 3D.
5. Gran Turismo series. Though for racing games Daytona USA for Sega Saturn gets an honorable mention, mainly because the music sounded like bad karaoke "DAY-TONE-NAAAAAAAAAA".
Where's all the love for Final Fantasy Tactics?
Considering your name I'm surprised you're not asking about Legend of Mana instead.
