In the world of assholes who don't honor their contracts, sure.
Also, nobody cares how big your eBay penis is. What's relevant to the conversation is how much arcade machines are worth, which you don't seem to understand. This is an old dust-gathering machine with cracks and possible other forms of damage, and it's being sold "as-is."
Really, just because someone else is able to clearly explain something doesn't mean you have to get butthurt because you can't do the same. Believe it or not, everything interesting in life isn't necessarily expensive, and not every person trying to sell something wants to rip you off.
And what I am telling you is 90% of "as-is" sells do not get shipped out/picked up unless the seller got what he or she wanted with or without a Buy It Now price.
I used "as-is" all the time just to get more views/bids. Countless times they received nothing.
So you're a dishonest seller and you have no problem admitting it? Cool.
Well, I've purchased plenty of "as-is" goods on eBay without any issues in relation to whether I've given them all the money they wanted or not, and that included transactions in the hundreds of dollars. As aforementioned, not everyone tries to back out of their contracts to make an extra buck.
So, to be a little more on-topic, anyone who wants an old arcade game should surf the 'Bay every now and then. You can find a lot of bargains on there, especially since many arcades -- particularly independent ones where owners can't hold onto products after the fact -- have gone the way of the Dodo.
Also, JAMMA titles were extremely common, and all you need is a game-free but working cabinet and some PCBs to start rockin'.
Yes, what he's doing is not honoring the contract.Originally Posted by Waef
Oh, the secrets of Ebay. 99% +feedback with 10,000+ on 3 accounts and I did the "as-is" crap all the time on wholesale lots of phones.
"Lot of 500 Blackberry 8300" -> Set it at $500 with no reserve/buyitnow -> Know how to get around Ebay -> Profit
Edit - Before you say, "I'd just leave you negative feedback" please know almost anyone that sells large amounts on Ebay knows 1 phone number to get any of them removed. Most powersellers leave their feedback at 98~99% on purpose because people with 3,000 Sales + 100% feedback is sketchy.
Weltall, what are the chances of you getting me a blackberry for free? <_<
As far as the games go, no order:
- MGS series
- Chrono Trigger
- Xenogears
- Some FF
- SH
- RE
Well if you have something to give me for free, 100%.
There is literally 10,000+ right behind me outside right now lol. (In a small storage - not sitting in the cold obviously lol)
Half-Life
Armored Core
007 Goldeneye (For N64. Hours of fun on 4-player versus)
Counter-Strike
Grand Theft Auto 3 (I can replay that game forever)
Blitzball on FFX (played "FFX" for months and never beat the game)
In no particular order:
Mega Man Legends 2
Guilty Gear XX
Final Fantasy Series (fuck arguing over which is better, they're all the same)
Killer 7
Shadowrun
Honorable mention to the entire Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series....
The standouts at their respective time from my (flawed mostly Sega Master System and Sega Genesis) point of view:
Diablo I, II
Warcraft I,II,III, WoW
Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the dark Savant
The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past
Ghouls and Ghosts
Shinobi
Phantasy Star II, III
Sonic the Hedgehog
Outrun
Goldenvalleus (Zelda Knockoff)
Final Fantasy all of them except x-2 (couldn't get into it) and XII (haven't tried it)
Was rifling through my room and found my old Tribes disk, man that game was awesome (or maybe it was just because it was the first shooter game I ever played). Flying on jet packs and building turrets was great.
Battlefield 2 and its mods
I can't believe nobody has said Ogre Battle yet.
Also:
Starcraft
Team Fortress Classic
Tetris
Sim City 2000
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV
FFXI
Gauntlet II
Chrono Cross/Trigger
GTA 5
