I think its just a play on Valentine's day, but with one in it, as the "one" you should spend it with or something.

They are not nearly that imaginative, besides, I think it was named for a stupid elf whose name was Valentione or something.

Yeah, the Halloween event is called the Harvest Festival. The name makes me think they lumped Halloween and Thanksgiving together.

I think that Halloween has always been called the Harvest Festival. At least I don't remember them calling it "Halloween" in game or on PoL. (At least since I have been editing the wiki.)

Oh, I didn't realize it was called differently in English. In Japanese it's Halloween.

Did they even add in any new items in the dec update that could be v.day related? Im not a big fan of holiday events because most of them are just inventory -1 anyway. If there is nothing new this year then meh.

Not to open a can of worms, but I sure do wish they'd change that. :/ I could see Sandy not permitting it, since the city's all religious, but Windy's mighty free-spirited (and full of mithra), there's got to be same-sex stuff going on there. No clue about Bastok, I've done no missions and few quests in that grubby city. Doesn't seem like a highly religious place though?

Games almost never use real life Christian holiday names to avoid religious affiliation or whatnot. Animal Crossing holidays are named similarly. Then again, a lot of our holidays begun as these things, such as Harvest Festival. /see anti-christmas athiest assholes thread

I think of Bastok as similar to NYC, ie pretty liberal so should be ok.

And Sandy is a bit like the UK, ie very traditional but personal freedom/choice treated as a priority so should be ok with it also. Not to mention all those elvaan in subligars.

And Windy? Tarutaru plus mithra.... hmmm. Not sure about the same sex thing but interspecies marriage/general frolicking would probably be at the top of the agenda for at least some of those male taru.

As someone who is an actual female mithra I am very saddened that I can't marry/do stuff with other mithra =(

I'm so alone for v-day! *sobs* Aside from hume, mithra is the only non-sexually-repulsive race! And all the humes I know are either stalkers or jackasses... ; ;
