Us, if it didn't despawn after the mamool ja form used Mijin Gakure; we were about 6-7hrs into the fight when it despawned. What is your point anyway? Your ls fought it for 18hrs to give up on the last form, due to people getting sick sitting in their chairs? The information we got from you, we would have got from our own fights, we fought it about 4 times before we killed it, and all were last form. We gathered information, and adjusted strat, from our fights.

No, I just read that quote and I'm like, who is this person, because they seem to be claiming that they're part of our ls and gave the info we provided, judging by the "my ls provided the info that the avatars spawn at 75%" etc quote. Just asking because I don't recognize the name at all. Actually I have no idea who you are and that wasn't directed at you unless you said that.

I'm not trying to put an axe in anyone's ego and honestly I don't claim any sort of right to it, because end be it all apathy killed it, we didn't, but it just seemed really shadey since they said they were "part of the 18 hour fight ls" and whatnot and I was confused. I just want to clear up that whoever said that, unless they are posting under a different name, is not in btl. And if they were posting under an alternate name, I was curious.

Out of curiousity: what part of the Aegis makes a PLD survive Dvergr-form PW compared to a non-Aegis PLD, anyway? I think PLD can get to the 50% MDT cap without the shield as well (assuming 5/5 Shell V)? Or does it spam dispel TP moves (bye Shell V) or attack fucking hard/fast (in which case the shield proc/damage mitigation is going to matter very much)? Not saying it's not impossible without Aegis, I believe it instantly, just wondering.

Narse explained this, but It spams extremely strong magic and it attacks exceptionally fast. Now, typically this wouldn't matter because you could swap gear during spell casting to an MDT/MDB setup, but since Pandemonium Warden has permanent instant cast chainspell cool stuff, you have no time to swap gear. Also, getting to magic damage taken cap w/o aegis sacrifices a ton of other gear you could be using for defense, enmity, blocking or MDB. And yes, PW attacks very hard and fast as well so shield blocking is important since I don't think it can be debuffed at all to my knowledge (VS would be better able to confirm this since he plays RDM for this fight and I play SAM). All this aside, Aegis or not, PW can still instantly kill any tank if it uses AOE curse > Instant cast GA3, you simply cannot survive this. Furthermore, if you're under the effects of cackle and get nuked, you have no chance of survival. If I recall correctly, Sinus was being taken down to 18-20% HP -ish from a single GA3 from PW towards the end of the fight, and Papy was being taken down to around 12-15% HP (barring Shadow Ring procs, of course). Basically, I do not envy anyone who has to tank this thing, because it is probably the hardest thing in the game to tank except for maybe Absolue Virtue.

oh and BTW that was a typo, it was NARSE not NARSH.. and that quote was from another PW thread. The thread he told me to search in to find the astral flow answer. I searched all of VSaints posts and did not find anything. Not calling him a liar, just saying I didn't find jack s*** about avoiding astral flow.

Cutting out sections of it because I feel like being an asshole, and because you obviously didn't read through his posts like you said you did, or you would have found this post (as this is how I found it). If you actually looked through all the posts, read this, and insist that he didn't post how to stop AF, then you fail at reading.

Now, as I said, I tested whether or not ****************** would have the avatars on you, and it does just that. PW final form only: *******************. PW will first summon all 8 lamp repops, and shortly after(~5sec) all 9 avatars will appear on screen, shortly after that(~3-5sec) PW readies AF, and instantly all 9 avatars will use their BPs. I am rdm in tank pt, and most of us remain online to take the AF(keep in mind the tank cannot die before it goes off, or you will lose time in sacking until it does), at 75% directly after the lamps were repopped (avatars not up yet) I ******************; the lamp repops remain on tank due to the fact that they *********, the avatars spawned and AFed me only due to the fact that *****************.

I'm hoping for at least a semi-decent update... that last one was made of complete fail. If this next version update actually disappoints me, I'm probably packing my bags and moving to Lord of the Rings.

My guess is they are waiting till either near or even after the Valentine's event is over to begin announcing the update info. My money is on a a fairly medium sized update, with past nation quests, probably a few random campaign adjustments, some new Ops, maybe some new NMs, a few sprinkled job changes (WHM, RDM, maybe NIN and SMN), and NO NORTHLANDS OR CAMPAIGN BODIES!

And people will still be logged at DA before the update.
