You can sit next to any of the artists and watch them work from scratch and everything from color to value layer structures...you name it. James Kei is fucking fast as hell. Sitting next to these guys and being able to talk and chat about anything is such an honor. Lots of notes, lots of great experiences. If you're social and have good networking skills, you're coming out with their numbers, cards, and everything from artists, game companies, toy companies, comic book industries, models, and other attendees.

Marvel and Blizzard were walking about looking for interns and people to hire all around.

Edit: They hold these events biannually. The next one is going to be in Shanghai, and LA next year after that. They go all around the world, so anywhere is possible.

Insomania must've been amazing. Back then I didn't know about CA or these workshops. Going to try and make it to every one from now on. Whit was suggesting LA when I talked to him, so it's probably the workshop in the first half of the year. Supposedly they're going to make the workshops more frequent and scaled down to a few months rather than just twice a year.
