Any other WW'ers noticing a higher HQ rate on staves or am I just getting retardedly lucky? 1st batch did 3/4 Aquilo's, 2nd batch 2/3 Pluto's. Only ones I can't seem to get lucky on are Terra's, friggin 0/last 6 so far. . . .

7 Wind staffs, 3 Dark staffs, and 2 breaks...

2/12 HQ on a mix of staves, 2 breaks

6/12 HQ on Light/Ice, 3 breaks

I seem to be breaking more than anything, but the 6/12 was nice. Just craft a bunch, it'll even out eventually. Always does...

Isn't just yesterday though. Over the past few months I've been Hq'n em alot more then I used to in the past (not complaining at all just wonderin if there was some sort of ninja patch SE didn't tell us lol)

This is where I'm gonna get flammed for saying this but I don't give a rats ass, but I only craft staves on Ice Day, facing east.

And I don't do batches of 10+ beads at a time. Whenever I do make em, it's like 2-4 at a time.

Finally breaking some long streaks of bad luck. I went 1/9 on Lamian Kamans last night... previously I had been 1/54 with 2 breaks. Tonight, I took it up a notch with this.

2/2... yeah, wish I had hq'd the cerb instead of either dusk... but owell.
I had been 2/39 before and one of those hqs had been for a friend (no charge, 1/3...he did tip me nicely though).

Currently 0/25ish+ after going 1/10ish on Cerb Mantles... so hopefully also breaking that streak soon.

I can't stop breaking even with HQ synths. I'm synthing tier 2 and I almost always go 1/4 which just breaks even or nets about 15-20k profit.

How often do you guys actually break away from tier percentages?

I'd like to try synthing Scorpion Harness but it seems with the current rate of things I'll break ever if I HQ 1/4 and from what I've heard it seems SH has an increased chance of breaking from other synths.

Then again you have to have money to make money and I suppose that's why I'm nit picking. Sitting on my 2mil thinking I would probably lose more money than it's worth.

Not to mention bonecraft doesn't have very many tier2-3 money making synths which is what I love most on my smithing mule.

this is the reason i havent touched an amemet mantle synth (for myself) in nearly 2 years. High gil T-1 or low cost, high profit T-0 is what i stick to most often.. Dusk Ledelsens are a 20k loss/nq with a 3.4M hq on Ifrit; assuming you do not break the hide or leather. Blessed pumps and sha'ir gages are about 10k loss per synth with a 2.5M hq value. I do occasionally do cerberus mantles, but i havent been terribly lucky with them recently. Not to mention they are a 500k loss per nq, and finding a buyer for a hq is next to impossible to profit.

Is about the same on Unicorn, 60k for skin and 210k for HQ, but a while back it was 60k for skin and 190k for HQ. Not quite as bad, but still. I was feeling like I had too much gil the other day, so I decided to waste some of it and bought few skins. Got lucky and went 1/2.. sold the rest of the skins back >.>

My total is now 4/11 on mantles so I'm slightly ahead!
