Okay, I know nobody wants to hear me bitch, but 1/31 with 5 breaks. Thank god for Artisan's Advantage, because this was my 31st synth and I'd have been awfully sad about pissing away 12 million gil instead of the 2-3 I'll end up losing now.

After remembering the thread a few a few weeks ago talking about Cursed Mail-1 I decided wth. Been about 5+ months since I've tried that synth. Only 1 Dragon Mail on AH, 2 Overpriced Blood. Well I buy the synthesis items and decide to do 1 synth before bed. Well I HQ'd Cursed Mail-1. Now its been sitting in my bazaar for 6.5mil and no one will bite. Makes me 7/108 on this T0.

Anyone wanna send a mule over to pick it up?

I'm pretty convinced at this point that most people just spam a whole bunch of synths because they want a self signed one, or because the hq is rare and it's easier to lose the millions than try to find one for sale. Then they have a ton of nq's left over and gut the price trying to get rid of them. It's the only logical explanation I can think of for the people losing millions of gil on T0/T1 synths because there are a TON of synths where the math just doesn't work out even with a better than average hq rate. Shit like hq cursed stuff, dusk gloves, etc. Either that or people just like seeing white boxes pop up and don't care how much they lose. I'm at the point now where I don't bother with high loss synths because even at better than normal hq rate it's not worth it. I'd rather craft a bunch of moderate loss (or even break even!) synths with moderate hq payouts because it's a lot more consistent income. I won't be making a relic any time soon but I'm not going broke any time soon, either.
