Black Mage Time Nukes AM3, MNK HNM ability, Bard Higher Range JA

I liked how in the opening video to ffxi, they had the taru black mages all standing next to each other time casting Meteor. They should have an AM3 spell that requires 3 blackmages (minimum) to cast said spell and takes some ridiculous mp (say 800) but has some serious damage. Would require 3 or more black mages in the same party to cast within 1 second of each other and take like idk 40s to cast? Would be interesting and would make lazy black mages coordinate. Also Monk needs the ability or a new weapon in which they can be viable DD against HNM's besides dark ixion. Bard needs a job ability to increase song size, and requiem needs to stick better to mobs that shit is like pulling teeth. all i can think of for now.

I don't know whether that is stupid or awesome... I mean to cast Meteor would be awesome, but... man. I think it should be like a 3000 mana spell (wait for it) with a 30 second cast and 2 minute recast. Simply put, you can only really use this when under the effect of Manafont, but to balance the damage... hmmm.

-Add D.Ring/Ridill to KS99. Leave the shitty drop rate if you must but there you go, you can try for a claimfest or save up those KS.

-Add more Wyrms (i.e. Light Wyrms) + Fix the Crappy loot pool on the existing ones (could add above contested items here instead of the above).

-Why not Offending Ring (Damage delt + 10%)? Balance things up a little.

-Fix the damage calculations for Defensive gear (omgz I have +80VIT and I take 3 less damage per hit than the blm

-Useful relics/mythics for mages that take into account that they DON'T MELEE

-Instance shit that should be instanced (Dynamis)

-Make new content where you pretty much need the current "uber" gear to just get by and not just because you have a limited amount of time to do sufficient damage. Release new gear in these areas that obsoletes the best old gear. If you don't want to break the game, raise the level cap to 80 but leave all existing areas capped at 75.

Too bad SE aren't likely to look at 99.9% of these suggestions on this thread...as long as people are willing to pay for shit drop rates, the time you are forced to wait between events, the collecting of 879 x 10^23 <currency type item> for a new weapon that is worse than the old one there is no motivation for them to change. Doing the minimum to keep players on for the maximum amount of time makes them the most money.

This idea will either be completely loved or completely hated:

Give Skill Chains the added effect of giving MP to everyone in the group. Amount of MP given would be based on Level of chain.

Give Magic Bursts the added effect of giving TP to everyone in the group. Effect based on dmg done or something idk.

Sounded good in my head. Solves a few problems, causes none as far as I can see.

-Meritable movement speed. 2% per upgrade, 6 upgrades. Hell, make it 3,5,9,9,9,9 if you want. I'd still do it.

-Make some kind of test, the reward for which would be gaining levels. The 60s and early 70s are so painful... Make like a 4 hour quest with a really tough BCNM and (yourlevel),000 gil entry fee or something. If you succeed, you gain a level. I keep quitting jobs that I REALLY love in the early 60s, just because every party I get in those levels can barely break 3k/hour (65war/11nins using club/dagger ftw)... and most 75s won't want to level sync down to puks or erucas. There's no reason an experienced player who knows the ins and outs of the job they're trying to level having to spend 20 hours of party time on the same level, just because other people are total morons. I've already levelled 2 jobs 55-75 on campaign, and I can't bring myself to do a 3rd. So yeah. Give a way for experienced people who've been playing for years and obviously have the know-how to play the job they're levelling an easy way to gain levels, which doesn't rely on retards who cuss you out for telling them that DRK's strongest weapon isn't a crossbow.

-The drop rates, oh lord the drop rates. I never got far into WoW but from what I understand, the more often you kill something, the more likely it is to drop rare items. I can deal with having to overcome a hundred bots, and having to fight in lag-tastic zones with people standing all over me. What I cannot stand is killing the same monster 20 times and not seeing it drop the thing you want (referring to non-salvage NMs. I like salvage just the way it is). I understand that if things dropped like candy then people would lose interest... But I spent the last 32 days with my friend camping the oldest HNM in FFXI, King Arthro. We were camping against 30-50 other people, again... the oldest HNM in FFXI still carries the best waist item that doesn't involve killing unkillable mobs. In the entire 32 days, not one belt dropped. The same people were there day after day after day, and nobody got a belt (32nd kill dropped it finally).

add dragon chronicles or memoirs as additional rewards for completing many nonrepeatable quests so its actually worth the time to do the like 90% of quests that give next to nothing. Crazy idea i know will never work~

Implement FFXII "chain" concept on item drops.

The more you chain kill a special type of enemy within a zone, the more likely it is to give you its items.

Leaving this work for zone NMs or not is left to the appreciation of others, I can't really tell if that would be a good idea, or not.

Also, unlock additional AH slot for players to sell, and possibly remove AH fees for any asking price below a certain low limit, like 500g.

This would allow for casual farming, at any level range, and add avaibility for a lot of crafting items and such.

On the concept of time Vs reward Vs xp, I wouldn't find much broken to earn 1 merit point as a quest reward, or difficult ENM, or such. Right now with the ton of merit to get, and the general boredom of merit parties, an increase in the alternatives would be nice.

I agree that there needs to be more auction slots available. Possibly make them available through a level 75 WotG quest so that it would be harder for RMT to abuse it.

Also I think merit point rewards for quests would be awsome ^^ Not for like, trading a colibri beak to an npc, but it would be good motivation to complete some side storyline quests of decent length.

Those could be rewards for the mini expansions, that'd be nice.

I hope SE doesnt release still more powerfull items, unless they make all endgame monsters overall harder (more resistant to magic, more def, more hp etc.). They did release items in MMM i believe, that are "just for looks". I think at this point, thats all we need really.

Dont need a too easy game. its boring.

    This reminds me of something,

    - Make it so all non-exclusive items can be sold on the AH.

Make a NPC in Upper Jeuno be able to give you all your stats. Name her Marrie or something. Click on her she goes:

    "Oh, hi <insert player name>!
What can I do for you?"
    Option: Check Strength.
    Option: Check Defense.
    Option: What this do?
    Option: Nothing right now.

    Check Stregnth.
"Your such a fierce lady/gentleman. Let me have a look at you."
"Your Attack is X. Your Ranged Attack is X. Your Accuracy is X. Your Ranged Accuraccy is X. Your critical hit rate is X. Your magic attack is X. Your magic accuracy is X."

    Check Defense.
"Your a strong looking lady/gentleman. Let's see here."
"Your defense is X. Your evasion is X. Your parry is X. Your Gaurd is X. Your magic defense is X. Your elemental resistance to elements are: Fire X, ect"

    What this do?
This promts a quest, that you trade any item/food and she tells you exactly what quest it is used in and/or what effect it has on you.
    Example.
"Oh, this Ginger Cookie gives you +5 MP while resting. With an additional effect of Resist Slow and Plantoid Killer.
"Oh, this Starfall Tear is used in the quest, To Catch A Falling Star."

Do you realize how long it would take to code an NPC to give text responses for all 20k+ food/quest/latent items in 5 different languages?

Do your realize this is a dream thread? Not everything in here is realistic. I just thought it would be a neat idea and shead some light on things we don't know what it is for. Plus, it would allow us to see RAtt and Racc, something players have been whining about for a while.
