Duoing Under Observation

I'll keep it simple. Any way to duo this other than with 2 BST?

I have duoed this with BST + NIN. Get the BST to kite 2 of the eyes with a tiger jug while the NIN solos the other eye.

When I did this we went BST/WHM and NIN/WHM. NIN just spams the wheel on the eyes with back turned.

Quite sure with BLU and RDM you can duo it. BLU spams spells with back turned while RDM kites 2.

Might want a MP drink or 2 though.

Nin would be better off going /Rdm, MAB will help his Nin nukes do more and still has Barfire. Just get Nin to stack up on MAB and INT gear for that level, helps his Elemental wheel do more.

Ive kitted the 2 little ones without any support numerous times on THF, we had a rdm and a nin kill the big eye while i kited.

Just about any job can kite the 2 little eyes, the problem is having only one person killing the big eye.

Used to do this all the time with a friend. Drg/Whm can kill the big eye handily while the other guy kites, then you boogie on over to help finish them off.

Nin/Rdm kills LITTLE eye.

Bst/Whm kites Little and Big eye.

One trip down/up is usually enough to kill a small eye, Nin grabs it off you, another trip gets it dead, then both gangbang the big eye.

The big eye is just as easy to kite as the little eyes, but a lot harder to kill solo, why kill it first?

For the record, done this like, 20 bajillion times, only EVER had one fuckup where the Nin ran in before I sent my pet in, shit went bad fast.

I tell the Nin "stand here, face that way".

Any leech/DD "stand by him".

Then I go up, sic pet from max range and run/heel, and tell them to pull a small eye off me.

I really like that strat, Max. I was doing a BLM trio and we actually failed twice (Both on my orbs). One was a mixed fault, I saw red health and in a habit tried to Curaga and gave the eye time to heal itself. Second fail was just a weird Firaga+Triple Crit on one of our mages right at the start and he dropped really low and then the other got hit by some ability where they had like 50 HP left each. We kept nuking, but with them dead so soon, I couldn't manage to finish off the big guy solo.

I did 3x BST a long time ago and it was laughably easy. I'd have to say any pet based jobs will have the "easiest" time kiting just due to the damage you're not taking on your character.

Oh, did I forget a key part?

Tiger jug.

Tiger gets hit like once or twice, and then he's out of range.

He takes a hit or two running past, but I've only had him die when they open with Bindga and I'm not far enough to heel him yet.

Now I've started inching up to hit Fight, then run like hell and heel once Im down the ramp a little.

I used Carrie personally and it worked fine since they stop to cast a lot and she can take a hit. I would run about 25% of the ramp and heel, get to the top and stay, run down about 25% and heel, and just around the time that I got to the two people killing the odd one, they were ready to pull the 2nd, and again when I got back with the boss the add was just about dead and we could start on the boss.

It's also not a bad idea to wait a minute or two for Call Beast cooldown in case there is crazy Bindga's and they do destroy your tiger or crab.

NIN/BLM and RDM/??? Did this many times back in the day. RDM kites 2 eyes up the path and back bind or gravity on the big one, my eye would be dead by the time he gets back, grab 2nd little one and repeat. I think maybe once out of 20 runs the RDM got hit with breakga while crossing his path on the way back. Other than that it was way too easy.

Blu/nin and Bst/whm can duo this. Yag drinks, hi-pots, hi-ethers recomended. Blu/nin can tear through the baby eyes very quickly, faster than nin. Headbutt for Firaga is nice too.
