Anyway. D:Trigun was fun for the first half.. and then it went ULTRA SERIOUS MODE FOR ULTRA SERIOUS ONLY. That was sort of eh. Wolfwood = guy with the cross full of weapons. Knives was fun.

You'd be surprised at the sheer amount of shows that do this. At first it's fun and games and then it suddenly flips in to some mindfucked, twisted, and deeply demented show... It's like watching Blue's Clues and you're all happy, then Mike Myers kicks the dog and pisses on the corpse... WTFDOIDO!?!?!?

I loved that part where Vash had to kill Legato, shit was brutal how they basically forced him to kill again. Then that part where Vash was like.. acting like a dog or somethign out in the streets and everyone saw how fucked up his body was? That was pretty messed up.

I honestly don't see the massive love for Trigun honestly. It just felt like the typical action anime with a likable character for the most part. He was goofy (like Spike in ways), but a titty baby as well, with an ultra serious mode to him due to his past. It was an alright anime, but I can think of a lot I'd rather have reanimated ahead of it. :/

Also, Cowboy Bebop was 26 episodes and had an anime movie. Most series are 25/26 episodes, 50/51 episodes, or like now.. 12/13 episodes that may include a second season. That's the kind I like. I don't like the anime with the random 98 episodes, or like D.Gray-man with it's 100+ (like 108 or so? I can't remember).. and then the other Shounen shit with 94302 episodes.

or like once piece, episode 388 coming out today. i still watch it, dont know why, i liked the recent saga but most of them are like /snore w/e get the main fight blah blah. i loved bleach up until that one meta morphin (power rangers!) part where the metal transformed and shit. then it dragged on way to long.

Naruto, lol, it was okay at first, then i didnt watch it for like 2 years. only likeable character for me was lee, dude couldnt do ninjustu but kicked fucking ass. then i started watching again, LITERALLY episodes 140-200 were ALLLLL fillers i was like ....... i'd just skip to the middle of the episode and yup, sure enough they were still talking or helping the village. then the last 20 episodes of the 220 episode saga actually moved on. booooring......

worse than DBZ, faggot naruto had 2 moves, least goku's kahmahamaha or w/e and spirit bomb and kioken and super sayan kicked ass, and knew how to fight and not get his ass kicked for 25 min of the episode. then naruto goes "omg i know how to beat him, /does something simplistic" /win!!!!!!

Bad guys show up and fuck stuff up
Regroup and fight
Whoever is popular at the time gets their own little 5 minute bit where they fight one of the bad guys and, zomg, win.
Naruto faces the bad guy, gets his ass kicked, uses kyuubi chakra, wins.
The End.


DBZ movies were pretty much the same, but good and bad guys died all the time. So it was a bit more, "holy shit kick his ass ARGH". Cowboy Bebop movie was just plain awesome for obvious OBVIOUS reasons. And I agree about Trigun not being that great, it was good, I'd watch it again. But it wasn't up at the Cowboy Bebop level for me.

I tend to get the impression that shows like that do sort of random-ish episodes, introducing setting, characters, etc with short story arcs to start out. If they find out they've got a second season to work with, then it's plot time.

Personally, I like shorter anime in general. Tends to keep them focused. I mean, if there's 100+ episodes of actual story to tell, then great...but most don't have that.

These sounds awesome. I used to love watching DBZ as a kid and episodes in condensed format without the bullshit would be amazing, especially with better animation and sound effects. Oh yeah, and HD with added content to extend the frame? Fuck yes.

I would make it but it wouldn't matter, the forums have a stupid limit on avatar file size, so decent gifs aren't even possible anymore unless they are fucking small or shitty quality (i.e. no colors). That's why you don't see gif avatars anymore, I used to have a bunch but none of them work anymore.

D.Gray-Man was great around the last like 26 episodes or so. First like 50 were absolute shit though. : /
