I'm not the one for nostalgic though, I'm not that big into the keeping seiyuu, I want a man with enough strength to initiate 3 big bangs in a row to not sound like an old lady, would probably be a dying old lady now too...

Then again, I just realized there really isn't any prominent female cast to go seiyuu moe over to begin with...

But a badass sounding Goku would probably make the series more enjoyable, to me anyway.

Cast the gurren lagann seiyuu for the new voiceover, and I'd totally watch it with my pants off.

To be honest I thought the Japanese cast sucked ass on DBZ. I actually loved the old Funimation cast, the guys who also did Yu Yu Hakusho dubs. They did such a good job that it was the only time I actually favored dubs over subs when watching anime. lol

You must be new to Japanese anime where most guys' voices are done by females?

Oh.. yeah. Young Trunks was also done by a female, along with Young Goten. =P

btw for those who liked Trigun, you should read the manga. anime changes the story line, think sometime around when legato shows up if I remember right. It goes on a lot longer than the anime and wolfwood does more stuffs.

I can't remember if Vegeta / Trunks v perfect cell was that great, but I loved when bitch talking cell got half his body blown away by vegeta. shame he could regenerate.

Vegeta vs perfect cell was he got overwhelmed fast, tried the gallet gun or whatever is his specialty attack with capacity to destroy the earth, blow up half cell's body and cell was like "aaargh ya got me!" then "gotcha bitch" and vegeta get bitchslapped so hard his super saiyan went out. Then Trunks was like "I am trunks, you killed my father, prepare to die" then powered up to the super saiyan form that's muscle bulgy thing, and picollo was like observing from the distance was going "oh shit son, trunks' even stronger than vegeta and cell" then Trunks started fighting him, but he can't even touch cell, and cell was like "yo nig, your fatass is too slow", then trunks was like "oh fuck shit, no wonder my old man didn't bother using this, I suck, kill me now" then cell was like "oh, but you did grow pretty strong, I'm gonna go start a tournament in a few days, go get stronger"

I think that covers mostly volume...27 was it?

you do know they've released dvd sets of all the uncut episodes of DBZ in america right? even seen a dvd of GT today at work.

Hrm. I should have been more specific. I was talking about the Goten/Trunks of our American dub. They were done by females.

That would be amazing. Props if they manage to make every attack and transformation different and not just copy pasted into the scene.

I always liked Goku's JP voice for some reason..it matched his fun personality IMO..was always a bit awkward when he went in to serious-mode though.....

I'm pretty excited about this though. Personally, I wish they could redo all of the artwork with the quality the Gohan VS. Cell final episode had..very few episodes had that special style to them...

Those are mostly children/teens though. I don't remember how old Goku was in DBZ but I doubt he was a child/teenager anymore. Goku just wasn't cut out for a female voice actor IMO and his dubbed voice totally matched his personality just fine. I'm not going to wait for a dubbed version to come out though. : p

sounds like they are remaking it all. from episode 1 to 291, except they are only making it 100ish episodes, so it's assumed they will take out everything used for filler, like long power ups.

I hope so. Some of the DBZ episodes look like they were drawn by 13 year-old fans.
