To be fair, it is pretty easy to say. Besides, I never said the art was bad, or the story. Just the horrible layout and jam packed panels.

I should read the trigun manga I only watched the anime when it was on adult swim and I think toonami a few years back. I hated the anime ending so I'm sure the actual manga ending is different.

Having seen several of the original Japanese episodes during their first run, I can say I'm definitely looking forward to this. It was the first anime that I saw in its pure form.

also: just realized I'm pretty sure Faulconer's not going to be doing the music for the jp show. I just hope the music they use is new and better than the stuff the japanese version used. I hated most of their songs.

Was somewhat excited when I read the thread title, when I saw 100ish episodes, I shat bricks. Cutting out filler will make this soooo good.
And also:
Yeah, if they approach it with the same goal and cutting down episodes, that would have a lot of potential too. I remember like, way way back in the day before I knew wtf anime was, some channel (on basic TV no less) was doing a Sailor Moon marathon, but they cut out the filler, only did major episodes from the start to the defeat of Queen Berryl (sp?). Oh god yes. I'm terrified to re-watch it now because I'm sure it's awful, but that shit was fucking bangin' when I was 12. I even bought a fansub of the movies on VHS. In one of them the bad guy was this badass African dude who kicked everyone's ass with a huge boomerang, but he was voiced by a woman and it completely ruined it. Originally Posted by Serif

You gotta appreciate how far animation has come since then. I can't believe the shit they passed for action sequences back in the day. Some things just don't age well.

I just re-read, it's only the opening/closing animations that's being remade, the rest is in its original animation but adjusted for the new techs

I mentioned this to a friend of mine in the office and as I was telling him the story he slowly walked to the board and began diagramming my explanation of the story. One of the greatest things to grace our whiteboard ensued.
Progression is kind of right to left, we had to erase stuff as it grew. Also he spelled everything himself so stuff like Sanes, Freza, KOKin, Bro Liey, Bro Dock etc. are just how he heard what I was saying. I didn't bother correcting him because it was so hilarious.

Bro Dock looks more like Bro Dick, and Freza looks like Pizza lol. I could see that being pretty funny.
other Lols i noticed, Boo has diabetes, buruma looks like bolimia, Super Sane
Anyways about what I asked about people subbing it, yeah I would normally think it's a bit premature. But seeing as it is DBZ, and it's only 2 months away. I thought maybe there would be groups at least announcing their plans to sub it. We shall see.
