I use Suppiido subs for watching Kai, and they seem to do a good job.

My guess the censorship is there due to the Sunday morning time slot. When DBZ initially aired in Japan all those years ago, it was in the Wednesday 7PM time slot. Or it could very well be the other way around given the amount of stuff they let fly.

It's weird though, I remember a specific scene with Radditz yelling with his mouth all covered in blood, yet they censor the hole in Goku's chest? I found that kind of contradicting to be honest. : /

Not to mention the blood dripping from Piccolo's severed arm. I think we'll see more of these little inconsistencies in the future, but it isn't enough to make me stop watching.

I love it!! It's called Dragon ball Kai! It's up to episode 2 now I believe. It looks so freaking good to! It's beautiful in Hd :D

I'd watch the original series with the Ocean/Funamation dub cast. If you can get by the stretched out fight scenes its a good show. If it bores you too much then just stick to watching Kai every week. : p

I personally fucking hate the JP voice actors for DBZ/Kai but that might be just me.

The "KAI" version is being massacred by censors, they re-did the voices only to take the blood away that there was in the original "Z"

Or is it jus that i saw an episode from a station that does censor out the blood?

I remember when DBZ was airing on TV where I live. The first run through wasn't censored at all, shit like Goku getting blasted, Piccolo/Nail/Tein getting their arms ripped off and generally bloody stuff was all there. They actually stopped airing the show for a while had redid the episodes from the beginning just to show the censored version. By now, I reckon most new versions of DBZ will be censored, including Kai.

Did the dub ever show the uncensored version all the way through? Or was it just the original version that did?

DBKai is the same voice actors as DBZ was, not sure why people think they are different voices(only a couple are new because ppl died or just said no). I personally love the JP voices and think the NA dubs are retarded as fuck.

If you haven't watched DB before, I would suggest dling the older JP version and watching that. Kai is prettier and they cut out alot of the bullshit(prolonged "power ups" and over used flashbacks), that was put in so they could write and release the manga while they aired the show on TV as well.

I like watching Kai just to see DBZ prettier but it's missing a few funny things here and there so far and censoring the gore sucks.
