I have to say I'm looking forward to this a lot more than inFamous (which I haven't played yet), but I'm on this kick where I refuse to pay full price for games so I'll probably wait til both games are ~$30 before I pick them up. Prototype looks pretty sweet though.

I played about halfway through infamous and got bored with it, it was a fun game for what I played, it was just a little too confined for my taste. Im looking forward to prototype because I really enjoy games that are truely open world and I know some some might think this silly, but it's also mature rated which is what I wish imfamous was so. Plus I just wanna raise some hell.

I do plan on picking up infamous near hollidays again because it'll be in the 30-40 price range by then or on sale.

Reminds me of the early Fable II viewings where the guy insisted that a charged attack had "never been done before".

already finish game 2 days ago i'll say it's must game if you love gore+open world structure but my only complain worse story I ever played as it made no sense, ending was beyond terrible and consuming people to reveal some back story was worse idea as i had to fail some missions just so i have time to comsume the individuals during the missions

Got a preference to one of them? Been debating on picking up one of these games tomorrow. Seems like activision has put a hold on all official reviews of the game, which makes me worry about it some.

So far Ive been having a lot of fun with the game, the control is a little weird but besides that its alot of fun.

Well my preference would be Prototype but that is extremely biased because I do not have a ps3 so I will not be picking up inFamous. I have only seen the game in demos and at a friends place.

This game is incredibly fun! Just causing chaos and destruction is a blast (no pun intended!) I really enjoy the combat, and the vehicles are nicely done, too.

Nothin like grabbing civilians and slinging them against walls, or skating them into a pulp.

For those who have played infamous, how does this rate?
I really don't feel like playing the same sandlot game 4 times (assuming this has good/evil as well) and Red Faction this summer.. >.>

I personaly like prototype better, but infamous is a good game as well, you wouldnt go wrong with either, the game play differs quite alot in both titles, prototype is much more open ended and doesnt have a karma system. If you cause too much havoc, the miltary and shit come after you. I have no clue why you would pay 60 bucks for red faction tho, thats easily a $20 title or a rental, but to each his own.

Infamous is far more refined/polished but this game is just a blast. I love how powerful you are and how chaotic it can get. The controls seem sloppy at first, but I'm quite precise with them now. Sidemissions suck ass though.

That pretty much sums up what im hearing is the major issue with prototype, that it isnt polished. People are saying some things are just done so well, then others are almost not complete.

I mean if you throw a tank at a building, shouldnt it at least crack? Prototype still seems like a good game though, the innocent slaughter of people cant be wrong.

There's just something about using the Whip power to pull down Helicopters, and running through pedestrians and cars with the shield. The game just does a great job at making you feel like the beast you are. I love attacking Military Bases, and getting Tanks and Strike Teams on me, and then taking them all out.
