    Well, you also got Ubisoft with its bumfuck retarded online-only DRM, but I don't think anyone even plays their modern shit on PC anyway.

    What's with DR2 being stupidly cheaper on PC anyways? Multiplat tend to just be $5-10 less, not $20-25'ish.
    (that or the game is overpriced on consoles in Canada since DR2 is $65 new in my area, up against PC version being $42 off Steam after currency conversion)

    They run great if you pirate them, and the recent Ubisoft titles are actually the only video games I've pirated all year, and mostly just to spite Ubisoft for that awful DRM :X

    if you didn't like the first you probably won't like this, but if you thought the first was awesome (and the first one IS awesome!) this one is equally awesome. It's pretty much more of the same, with just a few improvements that are welcome, but the formula hasn't really been changed at all.

    I will say the combo weapon system is phenomenal, definitely a lot better than the photography from the first game lol

    Well, I liked the first one. Thought it was fun, but there were a lot of problems with it that kept it from being a great game.
    Did they get rid of the terrible save system, the annoying human boss fights, the limited quest/mission choices?

    the only way the save system has been altered is that now there are 3 save slots, so it definitely alleviates a lot of the headaches with saving yourself into the corner, if you have an earlier save.

    The psycho fights are still around, and supposedly some of them get pretty hard towards the end. But just like the first game you can level up until they become easier.

    Survivor AI is vastly improved so it's a lot easier to save people. The combo weapon system adds a lot more depth to the game, but the basic game is still kill zombies/save survivors/kill psychos. They did add slot machines and a money system to buy stuff and the combo weapons will keep you busy, but on top of that they have zombie killing reality show minigames.

    I would say definitely try out the DR: Case Zero trial (or just get it for 400 points), it serves as a prequel to the main game (you can carry over your stats/combo cards/level, up to level 5) and it's a lot of fun. That way you're only out 5 bucks if you don't like it, and there's a good 8-10 hours of content to get 200/200 achievements if you do like it.

    Just playing around with some basic DR2 modding! Mod downloads available here: http://www.jamesritson.co.uk/dr2mods.php

    In this video you can see:

    * Any item can be "pocketed", so you can keep items you would normally drop in your inventory.

    * Wider field of view on the camera.

    * Changing item spawns - eg weapons in the Safehouse, sniper rifle on top of the magazine stand.

    * Six Shooter has "quickdraw", which enables you to fire off all 6 bullets in rapid succession.

    * Mega skateboard!

    * Defiler can clear out entire rooms.

    * So can the Rocket Launcher...

    * MMA Gloves send zombies skidding across the floor (taking out other zombies in the process)

    * Blambow has a much longer range and bigger explosion radius

    * "Massager" (ahem) is now super powerful..

    * Bow and Arrow fires spears

    * I.E.D. Launcher! Why settle for one explosive canister when you can have many?

    * Flaming bull horns can tear through bigger zombie crowds

    * Shotgun dismembers more and packs a bigger punch

    * Sniper rifle sends zombies flying

    * Sports car replaced by Chainsaw Bike

    * M249 fires faster

    You're probably not going to be able to get much of either done on your very first playthrough. I guess I'd try to do the case files and level up along the way, saving what easy survivors you can while focusing on making combo weapons and killing zombies for PP.

    I finished every extra mission and got the S ending on my first playthrough, so I guess it just matters what you do with your time.

    Well, I did the whole game on co-op, so maybe that skews my results, but either way, the game isn't particularly hard
