Kraken RNG?

In bird merits, just go RNG/WAR /w Kraken, the bird doesn't last long enough to kill you if you have a decent gun like Hellfire +1.

You really should try to aim for 8/8 club merits, because not only RNG /w Kclub could miss quite a bit, 0 dmg hits yields no TP as well.

As for K-club melee build, i really don't think sacrificing Haste is a good idea... The only haste gear i'd recommend is Byakko's Haidate. For K-club TPing i'd suggest something like

Optical Hat, Peacock Charm, Accuracy Earring, Hallow Earring, Skadi Body, Dusk Glove +1, Acc Rings, Life Belt/Swift Belt, Amemet Mantle, Byakko Pants/Skadi Pants, Skadi Feet.

Axe merits are for die-hard BSTs. If you've got the money, I'd use a Cuch. Mantle to TP assuming you're not hitting for 0.

Wondering on melee ranger build, right at 63 when you can equip KC. Not a whole lot of options for ranger, but I just wanted some suggestions from folks in case there is equip I'm not thinking of...heads/legs/feet are the main question marks I have.

147 club skill Back to Boyahda as 72 rdm to skill that up to the 180's.

I think the club is better suited to a higher level setting to be honest. You get Accuracy Bonus IV at LV 70, generally buffs are stronger (BRD/BRD, BRD/COR, BRD/Dia III), and you have Utsusemi: Ni. Also, TP given is not an issue when the fight is over in 20 seconds, but at LV 63 I think it would actually be somewhat burdensome if you're getting Flurried / Incinerated to no end. If you do use it, drop the offhand weapon and wait another attack round if you want more accuracy on your WS.

I bought my club a week ago for ~34 million and as much as I'd love to use it for everything, there are just times I have to shelve it.

Seriously, I know if you stick to birds/magma's that the TP moves will be devastating w/ TP spam. Was actually trying to see about using alternate camps where I can eat sushi and not cause bad TP moves (ex: tragopan in bibiki) so I could play around w/ the club, but I know I will still end up at the normal popular camps on the way to 75 and only use it for a chain or two and then switch back to /ra ranger mode.

KC is fine on birds at lower levels, just spam your WS button. It will die way faster so it can do less TP moves. If you're pretty much the ONLY damage in your party and your support is shit, consider not using klub. Also consider making a better party.

Don't use KC on flamethrower worms, especially at the camp's lower level boundary.

I am not planning on really building my ranger around the KC at such a low level, I'm merely playing an alternate account since my main was banhammered. Never played ranger before, so I figured I would have some leisurely fun w/ it - been a blast so far, enjoying the ranged attacks and WS damage.

I'd like to try it on birds too, but I'm a bit scared of the cost of spam-eating sushi since I'm playing on friend gils. Still...it should be a blast to try out for a few chains. Crab sushi x12 is only 4k a stack on Fenrir tho, and thats equivalent to spamming meat miths (also 4k a stack)....hmm, might be do-able after all. The weird thing is that Crab sushi lists Accuracy 13%, but doesn't say anything about ranged accuracy....and all the other sushi's seem to give both. Is the otherWiki description correct, no r. acc boost?

Any recommendations on gear to melee in for head/legs/feet slots?

I tried KC once on RNG, sadly it was during a dynamis run, so of course wiff wiff wiff! you REALLY need accuracy gear and sushi to use it properly, but that one i had was borrwed so i never tried it in a merit pt (well i don't merit as rng but still) i don't know if it's really worth it..

idk if this helps Cd but i firgured i post anyways lol... i was on my friends account on kujata once.. and pvpd a rng with kclub there and relic gun... it was PURE RAPE! constant 900+ WS and 1k+ barrage which in ballista.. is a shit load.

Lol, not very useful advice. Alright, I've got about 70 acc from gear and job trait so along w/ crab sushi I'll be fine. Just keep what head/legs/feet I currently have and not go overboard.

Got up to 171 club last night, so I'm good to try it in xp party now and get pecking flurry to the face. That kinda sounds like bukkake, no?

Just as a follow-up, KC RNG @ 63 on birds works just fine. I came in with capped club, the gear mentioned above, and I spammed crab sushi since its cheap. Slugs were doing about 850 w/ minuet on elvaan...definitely lower than my average with meat, but not bad.

I didn't feel as if I was eating more pecking flurries than without using KC. Party build was brd, pld, whm, war, war, rng.
