There's actually a funny Youtube video somewhere with Travis & Mark(Marc?), talking about the break-up I remember, they said the three of them sat down at a table and Tom sat staring at his feet while his manager told them he wanted to progress with his career and leave the band, they called him a little bitch in the interview, etc because he wouldn't even talk to them.

I'd imagine the reunion comes in light of Travis Barker getting in a plane crash after the Gamestop Managers convention etc, in Las Vegas and getting those heavy burns, something like that could spark an icebreaker on talking.
