the CRA worked fine for over 30 years and didn't even constitute near a majority (it was less than a third) of all foreclosures- most foreclosures/credit defaults/etc came at te hands of private lenders who had nothing to do with the CRA. One of the things I'm confused on is now that the Senate and House have passed 2 different bills, they have to reconcile them into one big bill.
