It's easy to look at the SAM you are duoing with and say "oh theres no way his acc is capped on WS." when were firing off WS every 15-20 seconds were bound to miss a few every now and then, no matter how high the acc is.

You might've wanted to read this thread before you copy/pasted that mathcraft.
Jus' sayin...
Can we seriously put a sticky up that says:
Osode is better to WS in then Haub+1. END OF STORY.
please?
It seems like every week somebody saves up 3 mil gil and decides to NOT read the dozens of parsed posts and research done by many, many fine people.
And says things like "my awesome SAM friend says blah blah you need acc. i have seen a ws miss on birds. omg".
I mean really do you all of you "eyeball" people really think you're right?
I'm sorry but we have parsed Cerb, Khim, Faffles, KV, Salvage Bosses, a hundred dynamis runs, a bazillion merit parties, tons of Einjar runs and a even bunnies in Ronfare.
It all says the same thing. One hit WS acc is ridiculously high, can far exceed your Melee acc and benifits, because of the acc bonus, you guessed it more STR.
seriously, unless you have ANY empirical data that says otherwise, WSing in a HAUB/+1 is INFERIOR to WSing in an Osode.
There has been a few threads regarding this before.
It's always the same group of retard with the same batch of fucking retarded excuse on why Hauby is superior to Osode on WS.
It's not, and you're still retarded.
I stopped WSing in Osode on sam a long time ago. Since my SAM is typically in a situation where I'm TAWSing, I tend to lean a little more towards attempting to keep accuracy high instead of trying to gain a little more on damage.
Does the gekko being capped on acc also apply to any possible DA's?
That is virtually impossible to test? Short of parsing a whole shitton of WSes, figuring out expected DA rate, manually counting DAs you see, then figuring out what .95 times the expected DA rate is and a reasonable margin of error in it. Of course, you need a much larger sample size than normal...
The way I see it, (for WSing)
Osode if you're /THF
Haubergeon +1 for everything else.
And you gave an answer that anyone who took the whopping minute or two required to read a page and half could tell you is blatantly wrong. If you can't be assed to give an accurate response, don't give a response at all. All you're going to do is mislead and confuse people who, just like you, jump right into the end of the thread, looking for an answer.
If you're doing MMM regularly, especially fighting double might mobs, you may want to use Hauby+1 instead of Osode. Though I didn't parse, I can see a considerable amount of misses on those mobs with standard WS setup in merit PT.
This isn't alla. I like how hauby+1's white border looks and i do gewd dmgz with it is not a basis for a recommendation, same goes for I r camping bloodsucker hardcore i dun need no blitz rangs. Be ready to support your ideas with math drawn from known things or don't bother with them at all.
