    Cover position vs Cerberus

Last time we fought Cerb, I couldn't for the hell of me position well to cover my co-tanks.

We have tanks stand on right foot, and wherever I could pos (right in front of the other tank, in front of cerberus right/middle head....) cover had no effect in the sense that I didn't get hit instead of the other guy.

First time I have this happening to me...

    Any idea?

I think you have to lock onto the tank, and then slide over a little in between the head and the tank, moving more in front of Cerby.

I seem to remember him not giving me retaliates at first in a nyzul fight once, but when I turned a little to my left (standing on his right paw) he started doing it, so I think he attacks kinda sideways.

I tried that, with no effect either...

I'm now wondering if the other tank was not standing too close (even if he didn't look like) and so I was considered being "in" the mob and not between it and my partner...

I'll still try this next time, thanks for the input Max™

Ive always been under the impression that the person you are covering has to be directly behind you in relation where the mob name is. So if tanking on a leg, you will probably need to slide a bit to the left so your co-tank is directly behind you a bit diagonally.

I usually don't have problems with this as long as I'm locked onto the mob when I position for cover. Sometimes I have to step backwards to get an idea of the direction I need to be in, between the target and the mob, but it works.

If your target's at an angle, though, you definitely need to be, as well; unfortunately, cover doesn't give as much leeway as SA does.
