Go back a few posts or pages and find the post where someone said that it's basically BLM versus SCH in your debate. People who have SCH will vote for SCH. People who have BLM will vote for BLM. Friendship will influence the votes for people who have neither. Ignorance for those who have neither a friend or job of that requirement. So in the end, the vote was skewed. I could go to almost ANY linkshell forum and post a vote and I promise you that 2-3 SCHs will say okay and the BLMs will vote BLM only.

iv played with 81 for close to 2 years now. he nos his jobs well. id rather have a crap rule where people side it. fair is fair you say? 90% of the rules imposed in this game are not "fair" you have to make people happy. i still think from my point of view that the members voted right.

Regarding the case at matter.. this guy sounds terrible, but so do you and your way of leading the shell. People can do amazing things with various jobs, and put items to good use on more than just the job it's 'supposed' to be for. Job priorities got old years ago, and you need to move on.

Give it to people who work for it, who work on their gear and playstyle, people who will actually put it to use, instead of just having a job at 75. Let's hope that some day you wake up, and realize that thinking outside the box may not be such a bad idea after all. I hope that for both yourself and your members.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not fighting for 81. No idea who this guy is... But the one thing that has ALWAYS annoyed me in any game is "priorities." So because he rolled a specific job, he gets it over the other guy who has a "lesser job" but has devoted far more time to the LS? Yeah, I've been burned by this a few times (Not just FFXI). In very few cases is it ever acceptable. And in fact, there isn't really one that I can think of right now that would be FFXI related.

But he was still going to use it for SCH, correct? What exactly was the problem?

All in all, this entire thread has nothing to do with whether Novio would benefit a SCH, and everything to do with a few BLMs worried about a little competition for their precious Novios. Linkshells who deny SCHs lotting Novios have no business having SCHs in their linkshells. Reward people who put in the effort, or don't have them in the linkshell. It's that simple.

the following day 81 was pissed off starting drama in linkshell chat. me and the other leader got mad that he would not let it go. he then posted on the forums saying right to everyone that we did not really like black people just about... saying "i thought this stopped on nov4th" next we found out that not hiim(but people he was talking to) where trying to add votes in favor of sch, when they had posted their vote already.

It's not adding votes when a BF/GF couple are trying to vote. Both members get a vote.

What you are saying is an item inwhich a long time player has been going after for some time can be taken a by a player 1 month in? It's not about Sam vs War. It's about player vs player. If a player has taken the time and effort to earn the points, they should be rewarded by someone who hasn't Or by someone who had benefited already by spending their points.

So you feel justified making a shitty rule that applies to everyone when the goal was to avoid giving one player a piece of gear? Even if he were as bad a player as you claim (Which I highly doubt), you've set a rule that applies to everyone in the LS. There may not be issues now, but in the future this situation may come up again with a different player. If you change the rule at that time, it just means you were being an asshole to Eightyone. If you don't change the rule at that time, you're being a general asshole. Either way, implementing the rule was a shitty move on your part.

It's just a bonus that this 81 guy had SCH leveled up to make full usage of Novio and he seemed pretty damn reliable. From the descriptions, if he was once a leader, he had to be considered reliable for that. Seems like someone in the LS just built a vendetta against the guy.
