It seems I am going to just lvl woodworking as a sub... I've been fishing a lot more recently and would love to pair it up with cooking. Cooking is cheap and easy yet profitable and stable. Would still be able to use ingredients that I dig up. But primarily fishing is great and somewhat always profitable. /Sigh ... I can't seem to find a Lu Shang's for sale though.....

just got my fishing to 76, been making a lot of squid sushi and tav tacos, buying all mats other than fish on mule and selling on mule and in a couple of weeks have made 1.2mil, and that is not doing a whole lot, fishing to fatigue everyday targeting only specific fish and crafting with it all would make a ton fast. between my 2 crafts, fishing and digging I'm doing pretty well atm

Sox, I've had a slew of great things happen on Lakshmi myself. One of those being going 2/15 on Cursed Mail-1. I was able to get the blood (hearts) through my ls fairly easy and cheap. I was able to speak with a few crafters and get the dragon mail for what it costs to synth. Sold both for 6M. Not to mention making another cursed mail-1 here and selling for 5m to a friend lol. I also had a great weekend 2 weeks ago. Got a Hagun which is 1.5M each for me and tc (we duo). Then I go 1/4 on Cursed Finger Gauntlets -1. Then I went and did an ISNM and got a Khroma Ore. After the ISNM some random JP guy shouts "Random Deal Can I Have It. 200k Reward = Success." I figure wth let me try and do it, I wont need my 2 hour tonight for KV or anything of that sort. Well I successfully do it and receive 200k. I then proceed to dig early A.M. sunday morning and BAM! 2 Lightning Ores.....

I still miss you guys. I heard what happened to Lynxll. It's a shame ;;.

I went 1/10 on cursed gloves -1 not too bad but not great, still trying to get rid of them and some nq's then will make some more gloves or feet, I wanna try some bodies at some point but I almost think better to hq a few T1 feet/hands rather than try the T0

Congrats. My chocobo is also TF/Bore, but he is yellow and moves about as fast as a NYC taxicab.

grats ^^, mine has burrow and bore, he was blue named him jet blue but I dyed him green so he has some identity issuse, he is slow as hell also lol.
Just raised one on my bone mule yellow, learned Treasure Finder so far, working on burrow to dig up chests better in hot and cold, only use his bird for hot and cold every day in bubu, will eventually get him valk access too but both zones give chance for arcane pots which is what I want mostly from hot and cold, only got 1 ever, best 2 days of hot and cold I got arcane pot 1 day and imperial egg the next.

How does the option to dye your chocobo work? Does the new color last as long as the same bird is registered to your whistle? Will I have to stay out of the jungles during double rainy weather? Maybe my bird will dig better if he is no longer a blond.

But to answer the question, it works until you re-register your chocobo whistle (pay the money or use a whistle coupon, I believe.)

After your chocobo learns the abilities you want it to have, what do you do? Do you continue to raise it and work on different stats, or do you just forget about it?

If you have the patience, it's advantageous to continue to raise your bird. You can't make any improvements after day ~63/64 if I recall correctly. You want top Receptivity/Discernment, but it's also not a bad idea to try and bring Endurance up a bit. I personally have been too lazy to do so with the 2 diggers I raised, and you will notice that they run off in a much shorter time than rentals (like 15-20 mins).

The downside is you eventually are stuck using the chocobuck improvement options to make this happen, and gathering those can be time consuming.

I recently started digging with my self-raised bird and it runs off at 17mins (lowest possible STR/END) and no amount of chocobo riding +time gear changes that. Seriously considering raising a new bird for digging at the moment.

dye lasts as long as you have that bird registered on the whistle, can recharge the whistle and still sticks, so as long as you don't swap out between 2 birds and keep the same chocobo on the whistle it stays dyed, mine has been green for a long time now. I think that as soon as I got the abilities I wanted I just retired it but would be good to try to keep raising it up, my chocobo is slow as hell, and the items you can get from chocobucks don't really do much, it takes a lot of items/time to increase anything, but I do hot and cold on 2 characters now and trying to build up strength so that it will eventually run faster than I can walk.

That. I dyed my bird by mistake (I had wanted the dye to make a hobbybo), and the darned thing never wore off. Eventually I bought dye for his real color and dyed him back to it.

Thanks. I will probably dye mine then. I have a ton of chocobucks from Hot & Cold but no real use for them at the moment.
