Movies/Animu you hated

Also, I really disliked The Princess Bride. I read the book and really enjoyed it, but the movie let me down. Billy Crystal was the only good part, everything else can go DIAF.

Two movies in particular stand out as being complete and total wastes of time that I just felt disgusted with after watching: Pan's Labyrinth and The Ladykillers.

Both of these just...ugh. Not a single brief entertaining moment to be found in either one, and neither told a very compelling story. Makes me sick again just thinking about them.

Night Watch was a huge let down. The book was great, thought the movie might be as well and I was so very wrong.

There are quite alot of bad anime, since 20-40 new shows come out every season.

However, I don't understand how anyone can think Full Metal Panic or Clannad are bad.

Kanokon is pretty bad as far as story/premise goes (atleas the anime, the novel/manga is much better), but it's more geared towards people that enjoy Noto Mamiko/Ayako Kawasumi voice acting

It might have been because I was younger at the time but I didn't like Akira after watching it (and hearing that it was supposed to be good). Maybe I should watch it again now to see if I think differently but meh.

The movie, "The Myst." Dumbest fucking movie ever. It insulted the very being of humanity at each possible angle. Fucking pisses me off just thinking about it.

What was wrong with Gantz?

Oh nothing except that fact that it COMPLETELY goes down the hill after episode 17.

I don't think I've ever been so upset about an awesome anime going to shit so fast. One of the few times I've actually thrown something across the room after watching a show/movie.

If you only look at the first 3 arcs of the story, that's fine (and even then the 3rd arcs ending gives a bad taste in my mouth). The 4th is inexcusably bad.

Read the Manga instead.

Gran Torino, I think I'm the only person on the planet who hated this movie. A lot of terrible acting, and most of the movie is just following Clint Eastwood and the typical bitter war veteran character followed with a cliche and predictable ending.

Fuckin' Tenjo Tenge was pretty bad too but at least it was entertaining.

Tenjou Tenge was decent. They totally fucked up by ending it in the middle of an arc though.

I can see this. I used to think it was the greatest anime ever but the more I watched it the more I saw all of its flaws and I now pretty much hate it.

Agreed, I stopped reading after the the main character got black hair for some reason. Before that, the art and action were decent. But Oh! Great has never been a good story teller, but always been an awesome artist.

I hated Pan's Labyrinth, but I can't tell you why. The story was decent, cinematography and art style were good, acting was good, but put it all together and I didn't enjoy the whole thing. I would have walked out on it, but I was visiting some friends down in Austin and didn't want to be rude.
