When my money goes to a failed actor who fucked up his own career, it's because my steak arrived on time and was cooked properly. He also doesn't get to keep acting for millions afterwards.

NY Attorney General sees it as misuse of public funds, Bank of America received 45 Billion in bailout money. Merrill Lynch was bought up by BoA. These bonuses were handed out after the bailout money was given. If they lost 27 Billion and then turn around and give 858 million in bonuses where did it come from? Bailout money covered those checks.

Unfortunately the geniuses in Washington didn't spell out the terms and restriction governing the use of the bailout money, they were in too much of a rush to give out taxpayer dollars to the fucktards who created the probelm in the first place. Probably nothing will be done about this whole thing.

What people fail to realize is that most of these are terms built into these employee's contracts.

It's not as simple as "just don't give it to them"...they are REQUIRED to give it to them. If they don't, said employee is just going to sue and get the money anyways(at a greater cost to the company...which would still be coming from tax dollars).

That's why newer stimulus plans are looking to cap this, cause apparently congress/bush just kinda forgot(or didn't care), until the social backlash started up.

Well, I do think that actors are overpaid

And I think the whole athlete career path is fucked up and can't comment on the pay unless they figure out a better way that something that somebody has trained for their entire life can be turned into a lasting career.

It also doesn't help that American productivity has increased by 2% but the salary of the working class has remained stagnant while the upper class's salary has gone up dramatically. They've gone from owning approximately 50% of the wealth to 60%, and CEOs are one of the prime examples cited.

It also doesn't help that the job market has been moving away from intense labour and more towards service jobs, which employ a far smaller percentage than the former, while the population still grows.
