Shantotto: Hero of Light... Really? (dissidia quotes)

Recently, someone had translated many of the quotes in Dissidia that involve fighting Shantotto. She might be on the Light side in the game, but the heroes (even the villians!) think she's just insane. It's actually kind of funny to see how scared everyone is of her! Though I guess it's only natural considering how she is in FFXI...

Is it almost ironic that out of all the heros and villians from Final Fantasy, Shantotto seems to be the one with the most threatening air? Go figure.

If this doesn't belong here, I apologize for misplacing this thread. Please move if it's too out of place. Though I hope anyway that people will enjoy seeing what the rest of the Final Fantasy cast thinks about our FFXI representative~

I'd say they did a pretty good job of portraying her destructive spirit very well. It seems almost like half the cast is fearful of her, and she really doesn't think much of anyone hero or villian no matter who they are! Not to mention her overall personality seems pretty sinister for being on the Light side. That's Shantotto for you though...

I wish they'd given the job of translation, to the team for FFXI English Localization.
Reading Shantotto prepare for a fight, without all the rhyming just doesn't feel right.

Edit: Reading again it seems I was mistaken, and the quotes in the OP are just someone's translation.

Shantotto has always prided herself on being a prick to everyone around her so its no surprise she has smart remarks for all of the other heroes. She displays her own heroics throughout FFXI but she often goes about in the silliest ways that you cant help but think of her as a loose cannon.

I forgot where it was stated she does all this because of her own insecurities in her powers but i think that was the official explanation.

Of all the choices for FFXI representation i think Shantotto was a good choice, Zazarg could have been a good runner up but he isnt as popular the most hated/loved taru in the game :D

Depends. Some games have way better NA voice acting than JP voice acting. (Valkryie Profile 2, Final Fantasy XII)

I would hope they'd have the capacity and foresight to have both sub and dub but I'm fairly sure it will be dubbed onry. I don't think they've made any official announcement about Dissidia getting ported to the US...but I'm sure it's coming.
