^ this is true in most cases but not all from my experiences.

Enfeebling is a definite but it's pretty debatable between blue magic merits and elemental magic merits imo. The only time black mage excels in endgame over blue mage is at three kings and agas and you dont even need merits for half of the things your forced to aga. God's I cant really remember as it's been quite a while since i've played, not to mention with the whole PW heavily depending on blue mage thing now

Hopefully SE will increase this type of Merits and from a interveiw I remember someone saying that they are interested in trying to do this but they did not say they were def doing it.

Well it depends on which job you are using more, what you are fighting and what skill gears do you already have (Afv2 hats, Morrigan, Nashira, Genie etc). If you don't have to be BLM in Kirin, Bahamutv2, Ouryu, Odin (;x), etc, you don't really need to max elemental magic skill merits, but rely on gears instead.

As for melees, I do like evasion skills and don't think they are worthless at all.

I know it's hard to pick which skills to merit when you have that many jobs. I have several jobs that I enjoy playing as well, but got to admit you can only max out 1 job the most (hello stat merits!) , so pick that one job then max merit for that job IMO, then pick 2nd job and try to get as much as possible for that job, then 3rd, 4th, etc...

Have WHM RDM BLM BRD SMN SCH BLU NIN PLD all levelled. Did Enfeebling and Elemental to 8/8 each and never looked back. I tend to play WHM or BRD mostly atm but would never take away the merits for my RDM and BLM.

Does anyone merit MND? ;c I have 5 INT now, but use I don't play BLM much anymore. I go as RDM in HNM events nowadays and WAR for fun sometimes for Limbus, Dynamis, Merits. I'm thinking of doing 5 STR lol... or maybe I should so 3 STR 2 INT. ;[

The convo should of ended when a G horn bard said 8/8 enfeeb/elemental. That would be the ONLY arguement having a g horn and doing bard merits, and blu magic? gtfo.

I'm a hardcore WHM with MND merits. I also have RDM and BLM for utility onry.

But...8/8 Enfeebling/Elemental all the way.

I'm WHM, BRD, SMN, SCH, BLM with a 70 RDM. So far I've gone 6/6/4 Ele/Enf/Enh. Am still debating dropping my enhancing but they actually buff SCH's phalanx up as well as minorly buffing WHM barspells and eventually will buff RDM. I'm not likely to ever get RDM relic hands as we have too many career RDMs.

I did consider MND merits for WHM but decided on INT for BLM as it makes it easier for me to hit 320/120. If I drop the enhancing, I'll go 8/8 Ele/Enf. I'm actually hoping they raise the cap... so waiting for update.
