At least he's got a SJ leveled up for a good portion of the game. Go BRD. You'll get so much so fast your head will spin. If not BRD, RDM is an acceptable alternative.

I think I will try the Bard role. I recall seeing few of them around when I played but when one was in our party, they were awesome with the buffs. I need to be level 30 to obtain this job on a new character?

Yeah, all you need is a job at level 30 and to complete the quest Path of the Bard - FFXIclopedia - a Wikia Gaming wiki to make the job available.

So with you having WHM at 45, not only do you have the preferred BRD SJ, you also have a job high enough to unlock this job. And you'll almost never be turned down to a group as a BRD so... Enjoy.

People doing stuff like eco-warrior and garrison is unheard of in these parts

My LS does Eco weekly, and has for the last four-ish years.

We've done Garrison on a regular basis as well, now and then. :D

Edit: whoops, I did post it in the right place, just got confuzzled.

Anywho, if you want to get the hang of WHM again, why not make a free trial and run around noob-like for a couple of days? You could talk to all the newbie-friendly NPCs they've added, and you could get the hang of basic WHM stuff again.

Probably not the best idea, I dunno. I'm a fairly new player.
