The best part was the look on Jeter's face when the Mets started pitching to him... lol!

Brewers have dropped 11 hits and a walk on the Mets through the first 4 innings...
...but only managed 3 runs despite that output (including a 1-out fly ball by Braun where SP Braden Looper was thrown out at home trying to tag from 3rd).
We chased that previously untouchable fucker Nieve in 3.1IP though, so that's a good way to start a series. Bring on the bullpen, get nice and tired Mets!
BrewCrew owes an assist to the Yankees for completely demoralizing the Mets offense!
EDIT: lol AND THE BREWERS PULL A CASTILLO
Yeah, mile high pop, he didn't let the SS call him off. Settled under it and it doinked off the heel of his glove, off his right hand and to the ground. And the next pitch was a 2 run double that missed a HR by about 3 feet.
But he just hit a grand slam to finish off the game, so all is forgiven!
Gotta love having a guy hitting .336 with power to protect Prince Fielder, who is protecting Ryan Braun.
Hinske to the yankees.
I didnt even know he still played hahaha
I've seen him park a few longballs when he was with Boston and Tampa so I don't mind him as someone who can provide some pop off the bench.. haven't had that in awhile. And anyone has to be a better OF than Swish or Damon...
They're not asking him to be a full time player, though. He'll be in there once a week at most to give Swisher or A-rod a day off. I'd take him over Cody Ransom any day..
While he wasn't great, I can't knock his effort when he got a chance to play in Boston. I expect him to be the same way in NY.
Yeah, and especially when the Yankee bench right now consists of:
Cody Ransom
Ramiro Pena
Fransisco Cervelli
Pena and Cervelli may have a future but right now they're AAA hitters. Hinske provides a veteran bat off the bench that the Yanks haven't had in a while. Of course, it doesn't compare to the Dynasty days when you had Darryl Strawberry and Tim Reigns as your bench players...
So, how good is Tim Lincecum? He's had 3 complete games in his last 4 starts and that other start he pitched 8 innings. Here's his line for the year:
W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HB BB SO AVG WHIP GO/AO
8 2 2.37 16 16 3 2 0 0 114.0 94 34 30 4 3 28 132 .224 1.07 1.06
And he's not even the only pitcher on the Giants' staff who's going to be battling for a Cy this year. Here's Matt Cain's stats:
W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HB BB SO AVG WHIP GO/AO
9 2 2.57 15 15 3 0 0 0 101.2 84 30 29 11 0 41 85 .231 1.23 0.77
Yeah. That's really hard to read. D:
I don't really follow the Giants, but while those numbers are impressive I was under the impression Zack Greinke, Roy Halladay and Beckett are in discussion for the Cy Young award this year. Haven't heard either Giants pitchers' names though, but then like I said I don't follow them closely so I'm sure on some article in the paper they're listed as contenders, I just haven't heard it.
Edit: I'm retarded, they're NL. Ignore me.
Maybe those back to back homers will stop Gonzalez from bobbing around like an idiot before he pitches.
Johan is in serious trouble right now - bases loaded, (partly because he walked our pitcher) one out in the 3rd with Braun and Fielder coming up.
Don't fuck this up Brewers, finish him.
edit: Woot, finished him Mortal Kombat style. 3 run double that turned into an error-assisted inside the park grand slam.
The Mets are so fucking bad on Defense.
