Jinx on.
Phil Hughes has been absolutely fucking insane out of the bullpen. I think it's 20-21 scoreless innings.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Heehee, blown save for Joe Nathan, lets go Reggie Willits, end this thing.
Jeremy Affeldt should be considered one of the best signings in Brian Sabean's history. 1.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 20 HLD's, and 31 K's 38.1 IP. He's also pitched 25 straight innings without allowing a run. Oh yeah, he's also one of the league leaders in inducing double plays. We got him for 2 years/$8m; that's a great contract for one of the best left handed middle relievers in the game.
Matt Holliday to the Cards for 3B wallace, OF peterson and RHP Mortensen. Not a bad deal..
and the Cards win the NL Central.
Lol so I just saw this posted on the mets' website regarding a possible trade for Halladay.
I'm not sure how that wasn't deleted already lol.static443 wrote:

Cards have the better pitching rotation in the NL Central (imo).
Todays game was mixed for me. Cubs won, but Aaron Harang hit his first career HR that was a 3 run jack. It's awesome to see him hit the ball.
Cubs are .5 game out of first place. Thanks headspace
You could be closer when you finish the sweep tomorrow.
Sooo just came back from work at the Phillies stadium, and my workplace was associated with a beating death in the parking lot. A bachelor party we kicked out of my restaurant followed whoever they had the initial altercation with and beat 3 of them killing the youngest one. Worst part is I probably helped throw out the murderers/those who got assaulted. I remember those who they were fighting with...though its hard to place who actually died.

Ashame all of this has to happen on such a great win for the Phillies, and even more of a shame that 6 ABC glorifies the grieving of the victims friends for their ratings. I dont think Ive ever seen such a harsh reaction to a death as this video on a news station.
Hm. Which thread was the argument about certain fans in Phily being bad and what not? Would this count towards that even if it's not technically in the stadium?
You guys should go to a Dodger game some day. People getting killed there is a regular occurrence. The bleachers are quite literally a county jail; even the cops who patrol them have absolutely no control over what happens there.
My aunt and uncle traveled to Dodgers stadium to watch a Phillies/Dodgers game last year and they said that place scared the shit out of them. They were originally gonna stay for the whole series but they valued their lives too much and got the hell out of there.
Pssh, I've sat in the bleachers of Dodgers stadium numerous times, in my brewers gear, mocking the Dodgers outfielders and cheering on the other team.
It's just full of mexican families, and they generally find me harmless and hilarious.
Danger is overrated.
Indians and Dodgers are in talks of sending Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez to L.A. in exchange for either Kershaw or Billingsly, Loney, and a prospect or two.
And Cubs are in soul possession of first. Suck it, Cards.
