No problem yo, Pedro has a snow mobile. Prepare to be run over Rockies.
Edit: Like 3 new posts at the same time I posted this. Is tomorrow late as fuck too or do the other teams have the spotlight still? Because you know, watching the Red Sox bat less than .120 against the Angels and the "Team to beat" Cardinals losing the series 0-2 is alot more fun and deserves a primetime spot. Not like the Phillies are defending champions or anything. /sarcasm TBS is so fucking stupid.

Football homer in the house!
I mean come on, the only game you can possibly complain about so far is the first Yankee/Twin game which was over in the 5th inning. Other than that, you've had 2 walk offs, a complete game shutout, 2 games where the tying run was brought to the plate in the 9th, and some great pitching matchups. I don't think it's been dull at all.
I don't care about exciting finishes. It's still 2-0, 2-0, 2-0 and 1-1.
What would you rather have then? oO
Well 1-1 is fine. I like that, but the Red Sox/Angels series has been a matchup of two different level teams imo. 5-0 and 4-1 final scores with the Red Sox getting a grand total of 8 hits between the two games. The Yankees/Twins Game 2 was fairly even, but game 1 just showed us what we'll see for the last game I'm sure. Cardinals/Dodgers has been dreadful even with the walk-off winner. I mean come on. Who the hell leaves that many guys on base?
My point is, I wouldn't be surprised if ratings are once again shit. In fact, I've fallen asleep during a couple games. :/ Oh well. I'll keep my complaining out of this thread.
Better announcers would have been great. Even on Cliff Lee's shut out he gave up the run then they are like "Get to the back of that Phillies bullpen". I mean come on, it was 5-1 with two outs and I think Cliff Lee already had two or so strikes on the last out already. And to boot, the entire park was shouting "Let's go Lee!". Not to disrespect any Rockies fans but seriously, the announcers were on their cocks like a fly on shit even though it was some pretty good baseball.
I agree about the announcing crew being very eh. Also, who cares about this mess anyway? TBS got horrible playoff ratings last year I do believe. That and going up against football IS suicide.
I like Ron Darling from yesterdays Yankee game but then again he does all the Mets broadcasts anyway. Unlike some of the other commentators he usually has something intelligent to say when he chimes in.
It's not about respecting a team. It's about how advertising money is figured out, and getting the largest markets into those time slots. Sorry your team drew the Rockies in the first round, but that's how it goes. If the first round match-up was Phillies and Dodgers then that would probably have more primetime games.
Darling is good, hated the fact he kept calling AJ's "curve" a "slider=" though. The biggest question is, where the fuck is Bob Costas? He called a game for MLBN one night and went back to doing that talk-show.
NBC playoffs were so epic (helped it was during the Yankee dynasty days though >_>)
I believe Costas is taking an extended break from actual broadcasting. His show was replaced by Joe Buck because Costas wanted a break. I know he does some stuff for NBC still but i dunno what his deal is. and I meant Darling does all the Mets games and I'm a mets fan. Just read that before and it didn't make sense.
As for the slider/curve thing it's more like a sweeping curve, idk at least to me.
Costas shows up on MLB-N sometimes, and he does the NBC Sunday Night Football stuff from the game, but that's about it.
Sorry but Phillies shouldn't always get the blunt end(be it times or constant bashing) of the national broadcasts. Fans who can't actually go to a game deserve to enjoy it from home regardless of team, which is what TBS has failed to do.
Also, Happ is now the game 3 starter.
It's how it is in baseball when you have teams like the Yankees and Redsox in post season games. Their games are always going to be the prime time games on TV, no matter whatever team is playing just because of their popularity amongst most watchers. Sure it's not fair for the other teams, but baseball is a business as much as a sport, and networks that paid big money to get to host the games are going to try to get the most bang for their buck in their prime spots. It sucks, but it's just how it is.
Whoa whoa whoa.... what the hell are the Red Sox doing scoring runs?!
