Rangers won their first opening day game since 2003. Damn it is nice to not be already depressed day 1 of the season. ^^

lol, what? No. It's actually not. My dream is to just get back to the playoffs and win one round. I don't give a shit if they get ousted in Round 2, I just want em past Round 1.

But yeah. Sorry kyo. Not happening. They were lucky to be facing lolBrettMyers.

Tough day for CC. Gonna have to see if AJ is gonna share the same fate in his first start.

Speaking of poor pitching performances, watched the Jays tee off on Verlander. Travis Snider had a big game. There's talk he could be in the hunt for rookie of the year so it might be wise to keep track fo him.

    I'm glad baseball is back!

Yeah, can't wait for Harold Reynolds or John Kruk to guess that "well clearly these players are taking something, offense is up from 2008 by 450%!"

I feel the same way about the Mariners. For one day, they're tied for first place and looked pretty good doing it. It won't last, but today, listening to the game on the radio on the drive home, it was nice to be excited about pro baseball again.

And I don't care if Ken Griffey Jr. is old, fat, injury prone and 25% the player he used to be, seeing him do his home run trot in a Seattle uniform again is a sight for sore eyes.

Awesome.... MLB.com decided it'd be a good idea to blackout radio broadcasts. Even better, they decided to start it unannounced yesterday, over a month after renewals were charged. Pedroia homered in his first AB of the year... sure would've liked to have been able to at least listen to it on the god damn service that I paid for to be able to listen to games while I'm at work. Jesus Christ, this is infuriating. I can't wait to spend half of my evening on hold trying to get my money back for this shit.

    Blacked out for non-subscriptions?

I have a mlb.tv premium account, and I can listen to my in-market gameday audio streams. Not sure why yours would be blacked out, unless the game was on ESPN (Probably the case)

I just get the Gameday Audio thing since I only need radio broadcasts to get me through work. If I have to upgrade my $15/year account to $20/month or whatever the mbl.tv thing is, then forget it. I'll just buy a shitty little radio to keep at work.

Lol, Teixeira can go fuck himself. Hitless game today, one walk. Not that one game is an indication of the rest of his season, but after some retarded comments he made about the Sox flaunting the Teixeira decision in the press I think he deserved it.

Beckett was pristine today. And I was extremely happy to see Tek hit a homer in the sixth. Sox starting line up looked really great today, everyone contributed. I felt a bit bad for Pena, he had some nasty, nasty pitches thrown to him but what can you do. I have to say for the Rays though, the second you make a mistake they fuck you for it. They have some real talent and I'm eager to see the next two games play out.

Mariners take a two run lead to the 9th inning. The closer gets the first two outs then walks three straight batters. New reliever comes in, gives up two singles to lose the game.

My optimism lasted exactly 24 hours.

    When does football start again?

At least the Rangers had a day off. I still have time for my soul to be crushed.
