As for the umpires. For a veteran crew, those strikes were ALL OVER THE PLACE. Nothing was really consistent. That outside corner to the lefties just kept getting bigger and bigger. They gotta take care of that shit on the double. Fuck the veterans their blind as fuck.

People will complain about strikes and balls, but it rarely gets attention after that. Blown calls in the field like that that so radically change the game are terrible though.

Also, for as much credit as CC has gotten, when does Burnett get some credit for being a good postseason pitcher? He's now gone into the 7th inning in every start, and besides that first inning against the Angels, has been pretty damn dominant.

I think his problem is that he's got such amazing stuff and yet he's so inconsistent. I mean even though his postseason performance has been good, until hes consistent over a longer a period of time I don't think he's gonna get any credit.

Throughout the season, Burnett has pitched well but every start always had 'something' interesting with it. CC just breathes confidence. Burnett always seems to struggle visibly and mentally when things get tough. He's very emotional and it shows.

Yeah, for sure. This is a 4 game sample size where he hasn't gotten blown up and ousted from the game in the 3rd inning though. He's done pretty well, and seemed pretty calm today given it's probably the biggest game he's ever pitched.

He leads the AL in wild pitches and was at the top or near the top in Walks per inning. That's why people consider him inconsistent. He's a great pitcher but he does lose it every now and then.

AJ was fantastic tonight. Tex finally did something. Swisher had his best outing by being benched. The ump's sucked ass again, sad that its become the norm and is expected by now. I feel like every single game has at least one instance where instant play would make a huge difference.

Anyways, game three is definitely advantage Andy as far as pitching goes (Hamels is not even a shell of what he was last year in the WS). Otherwise, the Phillies are tough at home and will present some challenges.
