Time between Yankees winning and payroll being brought up = 6 minutes. Toon in next time!

I thought we were passed all that payroll stuff. I guess not. You know it's one thing to say they have money, its another thing to look at how they spent the money. Investments. Every team makes them in one way or another.

You know, there are MANY owners who are far richer than the Steinbrenners. They just *gasp* invest the amount of money (and they make a lot from advertising/ merchandising) BACK into their team. Crazy concept I know. Right, Royals?

1998 team was 64 million as an FYI if you care and they where only 2nd. with over 8 other teams with 50mil+

get your numbers right. ya they over pay now but the "dream team" was not all that far from the other top teams.

Don't open the can of worms regarding the money the yankees spend. Its a baloney argument.

And they haven't wont a WS in a decade, along the way being on the receiving end of one of the biggest come backs in the history of sports, period, against their rivals.

I just loathe the Yankees, for many reasons. Not just the payroll thing, but the fact that I had an ex who was a huge Yankees fan and because he was such a fucking douchenozzle I basically hate everything he likes now. XD

even with all the money they spend, Yanks turn a profit when its all done. They have great fans who buy tickets and even their own cable tv channel. Other teams can try to spend usually end up losing money
