And I'd be more worried that the Meyers story made the papers so fast than be worried about him actually saying that. There's talking shit in the clubhouse, and then there's letting the media know about it. Pretty huge difference and it means someone else besides Meyers is probably pretty pissed, too. And one of those guys is probably your Game 7 starter..

I have to admit their pictures make me laugh.

Just want to say that my pre-WS prediction of the 3 man rotation blowing up in the Yanks face will come to fruition tonight after Pettitte and his self admitted dead arm gets lit up. Why Girardi didn't just concede game 5 with Gaudin and pitch AJ on full rest at home is beyond me. It will probably cost them game 6 and possibly the series.

I had all but conceded this series until I heard AJ was going in game 5, but not any more. Here's hoping the sleeping giant (Howard) wakes up finally and sends it to game 7.

I'd agree with you (except about Pettitte saying he has a dead arm, you made that up. He just said he had nothing last game because of the rain delay) except that the Phillies don't exactly have Bob Gibson and Sandy Koufax going in games 6 and 7. Assuming both games go to slugfests, and I don't see why they wouldn't, that drastically favors the Yankees. All they have to do is get a lead in the 7th or 8th inning and the game is over. Can't say the same for the Phillies.

The Phillies could certainly win the next two games, but they'd need to get quality starts out of both Pedro and whoever pitches tomorrow and/or beat Rivera.

Listened to an interview last night, Andy said he felt great, rested and was ready to go. Even if the yanks loose tonight, still have to deal with CC/Rivera on thursday, so it doesnt get any easier for them. I'm pretty sure it'll be wrapped up tonight.
