"She's still my mom and I still lover her. That's the long and short of it," Chamberlain said. “You handle it. You've only got one mom, man. You have to be thankful for her, love her and pray for her. "
Probably the best response he could have given. Disabled father, crackhead mother, tough shit.

So now that All-Star ballots are out...here is a rather interesting idea:

    Lastings Impression : baseballmusings.com

I actually think this is a rather interesting concept. Honestly, at first I thought the All-Star game deciding home field advantage was somewhat novel, but now it just doesn't make much sense to me.

It isn't like the game is managed all too differently. Managers may leave a couple pitchers out of the game for emergencies, but other than that, I really don't notice anything too different from previous years.

So what do y'all think about stuffing the ballot box for a crappy starting lineup?

As a slight random aside, I also had a chuckle to myself thinking what would happen if 4chan did All-Star ballots stuff ala the Time 100 list.

That's a great quote by Joba there, fren. Good on him. He's a good guy.

As far as the All-Star ballot stuffing goes, I'm in for sure. I'll submit that roster 25 times for sure. Lastings and Frenchy in the All-Star OF? Winners right there, Haha. I love how there's two Braves on the worst All-Star lineup. They both deserve it since they both fucking suck.

I'd love to see 4chan get in on this.

Edit: Three Braves. Forgot Garrett "I get hurt a lot" Anderson. Him and Chipper should like.. compete to see who will miss the most games.

Good luck beating the dominant (0-4, 5.33 ERA, 1.58 WHIP) Manny Parra tonight...

Bronson Arroyo (4-1)....HOWEVER! He's 1-1 at home with an over 10.5 ERA.

Does it really matter who starts the All-star game anyway? If you vote a scrub lineup out there, the managers of the respective divisions will bench the starters after the first inning and replace them with real players (don't forget managers can bring players of their choosing onto the team) and the game will go on like it always does. Plan wouldn't work.

I just wanted to quote this because it mercifully broke up the Red Sox/Yankees homerism and bawwwwing. Thank you.

On topic, I hate All-Star balloting. I would prefer the managers just select the whole team, just looking at the names for the AL outfield spots and seeing Nady and Carlos Gomez and Dewayne Wise... why don't they actually look at who's playing well before drafting this bullshit? Can't wait to see the AL starters (read: Red Sox).

It's going to be Red Sox vs Pujols

If Volquez keeps up his current streak and Cueto stays hot, they better both be going.

I should have listened to you, because I started him on my fantasy team and he's getting lit up

5-0 Brewers, .2 IP by Arroyo so far, and that's with Weeks getting thrown out at home. Maybe Manny Parra will get his first win!

With the way our hitters are going, that 5 run lead is all Manny needs. I'm hoping there'll be a case of Manny (Parra) being Manny (Parra).

Manny being Manny just hit a lead-off single.

    Awesome.

(He's also given up 5 runs only once in his 5 starts - don't get your hopes up)

And the rout is on. <3 Brauntosaurus. Start bringing in your relievers, we need to exhaust your bullpen to start this series.

Not yet, Manny Parra needs his first grand slam. Helping his own cause, ya know.

    Arroyo should stick to advertising.
