Jayson Werth had a real stolen home base (lol sounds strange saying that) rather than on the back end of a double steal.

Should we really bring up Cubs and the word "Championship" here? I really don't think Cubs fans should be bragging or anything. :/ Sure the Reds have been bottom dwellers for a good period of time while the Cubs have won division championships, but.. at least the Reds have won a Championship in the last one hundred+ years.
So have the pirates, brewers and royals but hey let's keep hanging our hats on that. My point was and still is it's way to early to brag about being in 2nd one month in.
Btw never once said the cubs are winning the world series or even getting there. They will win the division though
Every team has injuries, you can't really use that as an excuse these days. Look at how well the Red Sox are doing without Youk/Dice-K/etc, if anything I'd say they're overachieving. The Cubs have the injury bug too but again... a lot of teams do.
You guys should just wait to see who John Kruk picks to win the central. Then you'll know it isn't them.
I wish we had a guy with a BABIP well over .430 *coughYoukcough*
Yeah, watching Youk fall back to earth when his lucky streak ends will be one of the few things I'm going to enjoy seeing this year.
Also when do we hop on the Ryan Zimmerman bandwagon? 30 games and counting...
When he gets to 40.
So have the Pirates/Brewers/Royals what? Haven't won a championship or have?
Gonna take the safe side and say you meant they haven't, but they have. The Pirates have won five (1979 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979)
Brewers have only existed since 1970.
Royals won in 1985.
Soo... D: I won't keep on about the Cubs though. It's an understood fact that they fail in the playoffs. :/
Meant they have and look how shitty they been since. Nice strawman though
Rangers had yet another solid game last night. This is flooring me right now -- I am not used to being happy with Rangers baseball at this point in the season. Bullpen still worries the crap out of me -- if our starting pitching reverts to the usual, we are going to be in trouble for sure.
But still, I get to say the Rangers are having great starting pitching. Can someone help me with this? I don't know how to handle it lol.
I never realized how bad Chicago fans take their shit personal before.
Went to my first game of the season Friday night and saw Cole Hamels pitch for the first time. It was a good game, the seats were good, and I had a blast. The dudes next to me were chumps and got beer spilled on them. In the 6th inning some kid ran onto the field, through the infield, high fived Pedro Feliz, then scrambled into the outfield dodging security. It was amazing. Nobody can figure out why he ran past Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, and Cole Hamels to high five Feliz.
Matt Stairs also had my new favorite quote regarding steroids in baseball:
“People are going to have to stop taking this health bullshit and go back to being chubby and having fun.”
lol Matt Stairs quotes are funny as hell. This is my personal fav:
YouTube - MLB Quote of 2008 Ass Hammer
I love me some Matt Stairs too, especially his hitting philosophy. "I try to hit a homerun every time I step to the plate". Reminds me so much of John Kruk in 93.
During the inter-league games last year a group of Cubs fans beat a White Sox fan at a child's birthday party so badly that he lost an eye. True story.
