Got to agree with Mel. Reminds me of the analogy Seppuku made in the NHL thread saying the No-call on Ovechkin was the same as getting away with....Rape.

It's not comparing the two changes to one another, it's simply looking at change. You're saying the baseball shouldn't change at all because what's on the field has worked for so long. Glad they didn't apply that principle elsewhere.

And the "human element of officiating" is retarded as hell. I don't watch games for the umpire. I watch games for the human element of throwing hitting and catching a ball.

Brewers in charge of the NL Central; gotta love it. Too bad it's only because the Cards went on a huge slide.

    Another Brewers fan here? WTF?

Can't believe fucking Jeff Suppan of all people pitched 7 innings of scoreless ball. Also, how fucking dominant has old-ass Trevor Hoffman been since he got off the DL? 10IP, 9 Saves, 3 hits, no walks, 9 Ks. ERA of 0.00.

Raul Ibanez is exceeding expectations beyond any Phillies fans wildest dream. And how about that monster home run Ryan Howard hit today? The top of the order is really hammering the Nationals in this second game. Utley is finally having a good game after that lengthy slump. So good that it's like he totally disregarded the awful home stand and 0-18 stretch. Watch a pitcher come in end the threat with one pitch to Howard though.

plenty of people enjoy yelling and booing the umps just as much as the players, or watching the managers go toe to toe with an ump. Seriously, watching Pinella in action with an umpire is a thing of beauty. take out the umps and we never get to see anything like that again.

Pat who? Poor Pat. He really took Philadelphia abuse in stride and left on such a perfect high note, but Raul Ibanez has come in and shit all over his memory.

I have a friend who HATES Pat Burrell. He hated him last year. Hated him in the playoffs. Hated him after the world fucking championship. Still hates him. He's gleeful like a little girl for Ibanez. Every Sunday on the pre-game show (or is it the post game?) Mikey Miss and that other dude compare Ibanez and Burrell. It's no contest.
