Girardi is a fucking jackass. They won that game no thanks to him.

Just heard on the radio ricky weeks is out for the year? If it's true sucks for him and the brew crew he was having a breakout year
I'm looking forward to the Jays and Sox series starting tomorrow. The bulk of my optimism comes from the fact that Doc isn't pitching any of the three games.
There are going to be some good pitching duels coming up.
Hamels vs Cueto. (Don't let Hamel's numbers throw you off, he's been on the past 3-4 starts).
then a few days later Sabathia vs Hamels.
Tex and ARod were fucking unconscious this week.
Brewers run the streak to 6 after completing the sweep in St Louis. Losing Weeks for the season sucks, but our minor leaguers are good - we can handle it. At Houston next, hopefully we can keep it up.
Helps that we have one of the best minor league systems out there. Sucks about Weeks but we'll do ok w/o. I'm just happy our starting pitching is performing as they should. iirc, Brewers have one of the best records this year for starters going deep. Oh, and don't forget about Mr. career saves leader.
I still wish we had a super-reliable setup man - there was a Yahoo article today sucking Mark DiFelice's cock but then he went and gave up 2 runs in .2 IP today. But yeah, we're doing OK, and having Hells Bells has been great, I was a wreck all last year with our closer situation.
This one bears watching, kids. From the Washington Post today:
Last night, the Nats called up Ross Detwiler (our first pick in the 2007 draft) from AA for a spot, emergency start. He pitched well, his only mistake was a 3 run (2 earned) homer that magically carried out of the yard. By that point, by the way, the Nats had already made 3 errors. And finally, here are the worst bullpens in history, by ERA, according to Stats LLC:
1. 2009 Nationals, 6.68
2. 2009 Angels, 6.21
3. 2007 Devil Rays, 6.16
4. 1996 Tigers, 5.97
5. 1999 Mariners, 5.90
We were rallying in the bottom of the 5th, with one run in to cut the score to 3-1. With one out and a runner on second, Manny "The Fucking Idiot" Acta decides to pinch hit for the kid. Detwiler had only thrown 84 pitches, and was cruising (had retired 8 or 9 since the homer). The pinch hitter was Alex Cintron, who is hitting .080. I think you can guess what happened next. Cintron flied out, didn't even advance the runner.
But these are the Nats, and we scored four more runs with two outs (3 run HR by Johnson, solo shot by Zimmy). Nats 5, Pirates 3.
Bullpen proceeds to give up 9 runs. Nats lose 12 to 7. We're on pace for 48-114. Did I mention I have a full season ticket package?
I can't kill myself fast enough.
The only thing worse than the Nats are their announcers
I actually dispute that. Dibble has been surprisingly good. Carpenter is shit, but Dibble is funny, and I actually hated him before he got the job. He's started calling players and the team out on the air, and I'll never get tired of him saying "Jesus Christ" every time someone makes an error. Good times. Nats highlights this year:
1. Zimmerman
2. Zimmermann
3. Dibble
Don't forget Adam Dunn wearing the uniform that read "Natinals"
And Lastings Milledge on the All Star ballot and AAA Syracuse
And Daniel Fucking Cabrera
/anger management
And wow...I really didn't think the Angels would be 2nd worst bullpen in history given last year's performance.
