Yeah. He killed that ball. I know I saw it a few times. Same with Tex's though. His went out like a Mark McGwire homer of old, steroids and all. I lol @ people who worried about Tex though.

Either way, this Phillies lefty is in trouble, lol. Pettite pitched like crap his last start, so I expect a better start.

    This ump is fucking awful.

10 second delays between calling strikes, not giving the corners.

Holy crap at FOX. Way to go! The whole "showing John Maybury's dad who isn't John Mayberry Sr." rofl. That was great.

My friend texted me, "Why the hell is John Mayberry Sr. wearing a Panama jersey?" Amazing. Way to go FOX Sports.

Very fun game today, and Lidge just looks so bad right now.

Nice Yankees stadium HR there by Arod to tie it. Don't know why Lidge stopped throwing his slider there, cost them the game.

Another meaningless 9th inning HR for A-rod

That's the first time A-rod has hit the ball the other way this year, picked a good time. Dunno if the wind helped that ball, it was a line drive... who knows. Still, in the last week the Yankees have been trailing Joe Nathan down 3 and Lidge down 2 and came back to win both games. Nice to see them show some fight for a change.

No kidding. That "A-Bomb from A-Rod" was definitely not a bomb, haha. It barely scraped the wall if you consider three or four rows back scraping, and in that stadium, I do. I feel I'll never agree with some Yankees fans who don't think their stadium is that bad with the Homer ball, but I'll keep my stance on it.

Edit @ Ceph: Show some fight for a change? As Joe Buck just said, it's their seventeenth come from behind victory I wouldn't say "for a change" or anything. o.o; The comeback on Nathan was huge, but on Lidge, I dunno anymore. Watching mostly the NL East, he just looks so bad right now.

That was probably his best AB of the year, Lidge threw some pretty good sliders and he still caught up with a 95mph heater and launched it.

I love this quote he gave a few days ago.

Mark and I, we’re going to make a good team,” More often than not, if he doesn’t get you, I will"

By "for a change" I was talking in broader terms, like within the last 3 years. Last year especially I don't think they got a walk-off win until sometime in July. Obviously we've seen it plenty this year.

I only saw Lidge once when they played the Mets and he looked ok. That slider has some serious break, but he's having control issues. I agree he looked bad there, when you walk the lead-off guy with a 2 run lead that's pretty alarming.

Yeah, I guess so, but I honestly think Lidge is having problems with that knee of his, but he's putting on a brave face.

Oh well, speaking of "Brave", thanks for giving the Phillies the loss there and helping Atlanta some. A shame Atlanta has to play the Yankees this year. Braves have a stretch where they are @Boston for 3, then get the Yankees for 3 at home, and the Red Sox for 3 at home. Atlanta's so fucked when they get to that stretch, haha.

I heard that A-Rod engaged in run-shaving last season in collusion with the new stadium builders to make it a more homerun-friendly park so he could pad his own stats.

    Fact.

Well, thanks for being like the only team who actually beat Halladay this year (even though it took a 1-0 extra innings win, lol)

And yeah, you guys drew the AL East this year, and picked a bad time for it when all 5 teams are actually decent. The O's pitching stinks, but they can still hit with anybody. Personally, I'm looking forward to playing the Nationals!

Blue Jays need to thank the schedule makers for having to avoid the Yanks/Sox/Rays until May. Not good.

Although I'd give my first born to have Halladay.

Uh. It only took a full game. Kawakami went 8 innings, gave up 3 hits, struck out seven, Atlanta scored in the bottom of the 8th, and then Mike Gonzalez shut it down in the Top of the 9th for the save. No extra innings required, but the 1-0 win was nice. If you were a Braves fan last year, you would've strangled yourself. The Braves had an AWFUL record in one run games last year.

Yeah, we get Baltimore for three, @BoSox for 3, Red Sox/Yankees at home for 3, and the last two with the Blue Jays, so we drew a tough one. We didn't get the Rays though, oddly enough. Have fun with the Nats, you lucky bastard. D:

And yeah, I'd give up a ton to have Halladay. Dude's a horse.

How can he not be? With a name like Homer Bailey, he's clearly a ball player!

I can tell you who is a ball player. Joey Votto. 2-2 2HR 4 RBI so far tonight.

God damn I missed him this week.
