It's an easy excuse to sit Ortiz, not like they need one at this point. 4 more LOB tonight, which I'm sure increases his already insurmountable lead in that category. Yeah. I was watching the MLB-N, and the Mets had the broadcast. Their guys were like "Get back in the dugout.." when he flipped out and ran outside, haha.

And yeah, between Papelbon and Pedroia crying about that call (which was right anyway) and Youkilis barking at Santana for hitting him when half his body is on the plate.... wasn't professional at all. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me. At least a few of my Met friends are now on my side with the whole Youk/Joba thing

The best part of Youk getting hit was Dennis Eckersly filling in for Remy. Eck loves old-school baseball, and he sides with every pitcher on just about everything, and really who could blame him? They show the replay, and Eck said something like, "Here you see Santana's just pitching inside. He's not trying to hit him. Youk sorta started swinging, and dove out over the plate. Now let's see where this thing escalated. Youk's heading to first, and right there he says, 'Shit!' Uh... I... uh... well, not that. We'll forget about that part. Let's get back to the game."
