I know I'm a bit late, but ouch, Rangers flashed back to previous years today. Only saving grace of the blowout loss was that we only used 3 pitchers -- at least our bullpen isn't shot.

As far as the Rangers overall performance, yeah it has been good, but this is one of the first real tests we've had outside the division as of late (save for maybe Detroit). So as far as I am concerned, I'm getting to see a measuring stick of what we got.

If Milwood keeps up his current pace, we should have a solid start for tomorrow; however, I'm really excited to see how Holland handles the Yankees in his 2nd MLB start Wednesday night.

I think it's a good assumption the Rays are becoming screwed each day further and further. I doubt they will have a huge impact this year like last year, but I still don't count them out completely. Kazmir I would say is definetly their #1 starter though.

Shields has started opening day two strait years, and in the playoffs last year he got the 1st game every series except the world series, where he would have had to pitch on 4 days rest. So, they likely view him as their #1.

Still, that coverage is hardly even "coverage". When was the last time you saw them air reaction from a manager or player about a play in the game? In 2 hours of watching MLB network I saw them interview Phil Hughes about his start, and got manager reaction from Joe Maddon about the injury to Iwamura.

ESPN's idea of coverage is fatass John Kruk making a retarding prediction (like Randy Johnson winning 30 games, circa 2005), or interviewing Peter Gammons so he can bash the Yankee Stadium bandbox in one sentence and compliment the holy grounds of Fenway Park the next
