    Proto-Omega oddity

I was the only BLM for a Proto-Omega run today. Both times it popped a Gunpod, the pod immediately came straight for me before I had done anything to it. And both times Blink failed and it tore off my Stoneskin in one hit, so I wasn't able to nuke at all before it killed me. Other people damaged them a bit, and then I reraised and finished them with Thunder IV.

Anyone else seen this? I expected the pods to link with Omega rather than randomly hunt down the player most threatening to them...the first time I thought maybe Omega had turned to me briefly as it was standing up since I had been nuking, but the second time I had been sitting around weakened and couldn't possibly have pulled hate.

    Definitely coming /NIN next time.

Always known it to have random hate on pop, always have someone voke it or shadowbind it on pop.

99% of the time when it pops it usually heads for the back line.

Least from what I usually see anyways.

This is like in Apollyon SW when the Treants are defeated and the baby randomly agros someone...often me! i'm a bard, i can't be THAT high on the Treant's hate list. Another case of /random hate. It happens.

blms should be subbing NIN for omega

not like the cure III will help and staying 21.0 for a huge model monster is enough to dodge all AOE, yet still able to cast

if your the lone BLM you should sub NIN by default, stun pod > IV > IV
i dunno if pod DA but that shoulds finish it off

still, its good to have 2 BLM or more since stun is always nice on omega

True story, 6/6 gun pods went after the same exact person last Omega we did. Died every single time. And since pods are on a ~5 minute timer he would either be about to or have just unweakened before the next one sneaked up and bit him on the bum again. We were all laughing so hard by the end of that fight. On the upside we got body, hands, and legs so it wasn't all bad.
